REFRIGERATION CIRCUIT WITH PRESSURE EQUALIZATION BETWEEN MULTIPLE CONDENSERS
The invention relates to a refrigerant circuit (1), in particular for use in a vehicle, preferably a motor vehicle, comprising: an air conditioning compressor (2), a main condenser (4), at least one connectable condenser (5), and a switching means (3) which is designed to connect one or more of the switchable condensers (5) to the refrigerant circuit (1), wherein a pressure equalising means (6) is configured to equalise an internal pressure of the at least one connectable condenser (5) with an internal pressure of the main condenser (4).
SUB-COOLING A REFRIGERANT IN AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
An air conditioning system includes a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant in a vapor phase; a condenser that receives the compressed vapor phase and is configured to change the compressed vapor phase to a liquid phase; an expansion device that receives the liquid phase of the refrigerant and is configured to expand the liquid phase of the refrigerant from a first pressure to a second pressure lower than the first pressure; an evaporator that receives the liquid phase of the refrigerant at the second pressure and is configured to transfer heat from an airflow circulated through the evaporator to the liquid phase of the refrigerant and change water vapor in the airflow into a liquid condensate; and a heat exchanger that receives at least a portion of the liquid phase of the refrigerant and is immersed in the liquid condensate to sub-cool the liquid phase of the refrigerant.
Dual mass cooling precision system
Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for cooling using both air and/or liquid cooling sub circuits. A vapor compression cooling system having both an air and liquid cooling sub circuit designed to service high sensible process heat loads that cannot be solely cooled by either liquid or air is provided.
HVAC DUAL DE-SUPERHEATING/SUBCOOLING HEAT RECLAIM SYSTEM FOR TRANSCRITICAL REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS
A dual reclaim coil with a smart control application is provided that allows the refrigerant inlet to the HVAC unit switch between the two sides of the condenser is aimed to use the high temperature and pressure of the condenser/gas cooler outlet while a CO.sub.2 refrigerant system is operating above critical point. This occurs in hot ambient conditions, when the need for heating in the space is not as great as in the wintertime and the available heat at the condenser/gas cooler's outlet is sufficient to satisfy the heating load. This also mitigates space overcooling, while increasing the CO.sub.2 transcritical system's efficiency by subcooling the refrigerant for applications involving dehumidification HVAC systems which often results in a phenomenon called “overcooling” during the dehumidification season.
BIMODAL COOLING SYSTEM
Cooling systems and methods of operation are provided. The cooling system may comprise a two-phase pumped loop (TPPL). The two-phase pumped loop may include, a receiver, a pump downstream from the receiver, a heat load downstream from the pump, a TPPL tee downstream from the heat load, a TPPL check valve downstream from the TPPL tee, and a heat exchanger downstream from the TPPL check valve and upstream from the receiver. The cooling system may further include a vapor cycle system (VCS) loop. The vapor cycle system loop may include the receiver, a compressor downstream from a vapor outlet of the receiver, a compressor check valve downstream from the compressor and upstream of the heat exchanger, the heat exchanger, and the heat load downstream from a liquid outlet of the receiver.
HEATING CONTROL DEVICE AND HEATING CONTROL PROGRAM
A heating control device includes an estimating unit to estimate a latent heat load of air present in a ventilation target space as a ventilation target and a heating control unit to control, in accordance with the latent heat load estimated by the estimating unit, a temperature of heating outside air by a heat exchanger to heat outside air supplied to the ventilation target space, via control of a condensation temperature of a refrigerant in the heat exchanger. The estimating unit estimates the latent heat load from ΔX, which is a value obtained by subtracting, from a target absolute humidity (X0) set by a temperature/humidity setting device to set a target humidity of an interior as the ventilation target space, an absolute humidity (Xi) of the interior detected by an indoor humidity sensor.
Condenser fan control system
A heating and cooling system that includes a condenser coil configured to receive a refrigerant. A first compressor and a second compressor that pump the refrigerant through the condenser coil. A first condenser fan and a second condenser fan that push air over the condenser coil. A controller that receives a signal indicative of an ambient air temperature, a signal indicative of an operational status of the first compressor, and a signal indicative of an operational status of the second compressor. The controller controls operation of the first condenser fan and the second condenser fan in response to the signal indicative of the ambient air temperature, the signal indicative of the operational status of the first compressor and the signal indicative of the operational status of the second compressor.
Adjustable heat exchanger
A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system, includes a housing configured to direct an air flow through an air flow path of the housing and an evaporator configured to translate between a first position and a second position, such that the evaporator is disposed within the air flow path in the first position and the evaporator is disposed external to the air flow path in the second position.
Multi-compressor climate system
Disclosed are climate systems and methods for control the climate systems. A climate system includes a plurality of compressors, a first heat exchanger disposed downstream of the compressors and a second heat exchanger disposed downstream of the first heat exchanger. The compressors and heat exchangers are fluidly connected by refrigerant lines to form a refrigerant circuit. The climate system also includes a controller that controls the operation of the compressors to draw back lubricant to the compressors without use of an oil equalization system.
