A toy vehicle launcher is movable to a plurality of launching locations disposed along one or more pathways of a toy vehicle track set. The toy vehicle launcher is configured to impart a launching force to a toy vehicle when the toy vehicle launcher is disposed in one of the plurality of launching locations, and the toy vehicle launcher is configured to prevent the launching force from being imparted to the toy vehicle while the toy vehicle launcher is moving between the plurality of launching locations. Additionally or alternatively, the toy vehicle launcher may be configured to impart different launching forces of different magnitudes to the toy vehicle at different locations of the plurality of launching locations.

A guiding device is provided at the inlet end for guiding the track vehicle to enter a pipe opening of the inlet end from the non-track section. The guiding device includes an end opening that is wider than the pipe opening. The track section further includes connecting devices having two connecting ports for detachably connecting the pipe track sections.

A variety of track segment types may be used to form the track, and different combinations of the track segments may yield a track having varying characteristics. In an example, each track segment may comprise of a shift register, which may provide information to a base track segment relating to the order of the track segments and the track segment types that comprise the track. In some examples, the base track segment may relay the information to a computing device. Accordingly, the information may be used to determine a track layout, which may in turn be used to provide, for example, the ability for someone else to reproduce the track configuration.
