Systems and methods for pumping down flammable refrigerant
In one embodiment, an HVAC system includes an indoor unit having a furnace, an outdoor heat pump unit having a compressor and an outdoor coil, a refrigerant line coupled to the indoor unit and the outdoor heat pump unit, and a valve coupled to the refrigerant line. The HVAC system further includes one or more controllers operable to determine that the outdoor heat pump unit is in operation during an air conditioning cycle. The controllers are further operable to determine an outdoor temperature and compare the outdoor temperature to a predetermined temperature. The controllers are further operable to initiate a closure of the valve coupled to the refrigerant line and initiate operation of the compressor at an end of the air conditioning cycle to pump down a refrigerant to the outdoor coil in response to comparing the outdoor temperature to the predetermined temperature.

The heat exchange section includes at least two refrigerant passes. Refrigerant is circuited through the refrigerant passes in the same direction in both the heating mode and the cooling mode, so that the overall flow orientation between the refrigerant passes and the air is a counter-flow orientation in both the heating mode and the cooling mode.
Vehicle Temperature Management System
A vehicle temperature management system includes a refrigerant circulation system including a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a depressurization apparatus, a heat exchange plate, a four-way valve, and a second heat exchanger that is configured to heat a first refrigerant that flows to an input port when a management object needs to be cooled through the heat exchange plate, and cool the first refrigerant that flows to the heat exchange plate when the management object needs to be heated through the heat exchange plate.
Refrigerating device
A refrigerating device includes a refrigerant circuit through which a refrigerant flows. A refrigerant collection container through which the refrigerant flows in a refrigeration cycle operation is detachably provided in the refrigerant circuit.
LIQUID RECEIVER FOR HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
A receiver for a heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration system includes a tube extending along a tube axis from a first receiver end to a second receiver end opposite the first receiver end, and a single receiver port. The receiver port is configured as both a receiver inlet and a receiver outlet. A heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration system includes a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant flow, a refrigerant pathway configured to convey the refrigerant flow through the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration system, and a receiver fluidly connected to the refrigerant pathway. The receiver includes a tube extending along a tube axis from a first receiver end to a second receiver end opposite the first receiver end, and a single receiver port. The receiver port is configured as both a receiver inlet and a receiver outlet, and is connected to the refrigerant pathway via the single receiver port.
Thermodynamic heat recovery without an additional thermodynamic circuit
A refrigerant circuit includes a compressor operable to compress a refrigerant, an expansion valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger in a fresh air inlet to a conditioned space, a recovery heat exchanger in an extracted air outlet from the conditioned space, and a reversing valve operable to direct a direction of refrigerant flow between a cooling mode and a heating mode.
HEAT EXCHANGER, OUTDOOR UNIT AND REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
An outdoor heat exchanger includes: a main heat exchange area; a sub heat exchange area; and a connecting pipe and a connecting pipe interconnecting the main heat exchange area and the sub heat exchange area. The main heat exchange area has a main heat exchange channel and a main heat exchange channel. The sub heat exchange area has a sub heat exchange channel, a sub heat exchange channel, and a sub heat exchange channel. The connecting pipe connects the sub heat exchange channel and the sub heat exchange channel to the main heat exchange channel while the sub heat exchange channels are joined together. The connecting pipe interconnects the sub heat exchange channel and the main heat exchange channel.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a compressor, a four-way valve, a second flow path switching unit, a first outdoor heat exchanger, a second outdoor heat exchanger, a first indoor heat exchanger and a second flow path switching unit. The second flow path switching unit switches between a third state in which the first port, the second port, the first outdoor heat exchanger, the fourth port, the third port, the second heat exchanger, the fifth port and the sixth port are successively connected in series, and a fourth state in which the sixth port, the fourth port, the first heat exchanger, the second port and the first port are successively connected in series, and the sixth port, the fifth port, the second heat exchanger, the third port and the first port are successively connected in series.
