REFRIGERANT CHARGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system for charging an outdoor unit with refrigerant includes a sensor configured to measure a refrigerant concentration and a user device configured to receive the measured refrigerant concentration. The system includes that the user device is configured to, in response to the measured refrigerant concentration exceeding a threshold, generate and display an alert on a user interface of the user device indicating the measured refrigerant concentration exceeds the threshold.
Air conditioner and method for controlling the same
The present disclosure provides an air conditioner. The air conditioner includes a compressor; a sensor for measuring the compressors state configured to detect compressor state information that includes at least one of a pressure value and a saturation temperature of the compressor; and a controller configured to control air flow on the side of an indoor unit by comparing the compressor state information measured from the sensor and a threshold.
Method for setting the refrigerant charge amount in an air-conditioning apparatus
An indoor unit includes an air-sending fan, an air inlet through which air of an indoor space is sucked in, and an air outlet located above the air inlet and through which the air sucked in through the air inlet is blown out to the indoor space. A control unit activates the air-sending fan when leakage of the refrigerant is detected. When M [kg] represents an amount of charge of the refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle, LFL [kg/m.sup.3] represents a lower flammable limit of the refrigerant, A [m.sup.2] represents a floor area of the indoor space, and Ho [m] represents a height of the air outlet above a floor surface of the indoor space, the amount of charge M, the lower flammable limit LFL, the floor area A, and the height Ho satisfy a relationship of M<LFL×A×Ho.
HEAT PUMP SYSTEM WITH FLASH DEFROSTING MODE
A heat pump system is provided, comprising: a cooling and heating coil having first and second refrigerant ports; a reheat coil having third and fourth refrigerant ports; first and second refrigerant pipes connected to the first and second refrigerant ports, respectively; a first solenoid valve between the third refrigerant port and the second refrigerant pipe; a second solenoid valve between the fourth refrigerant port and the second refrigerant line; an expansion valve between the fourth refrigeration port and the second refrigerant port; a first check valve between the fourth refrigerant port and the expansion valve; a second check valve between the expansion valve and a condensing circuit; a third check valve between the first check valve and the expansion valve; a fan circuit for blowing air across the cooling and heating coil and the reheat coil in order; and a controller for controlling the heat pump system.
Combination air and ground source heating and/or cooling system
A combination air and ground source heating and/or cooling system. The system includes an indoor unit, an outdoor unit and an in-ground unit, each of which has a coil, an inlet line and an outlet line. The system also comprises a flow connector, a coupling and a controller. The controller is configured to control the flow connector and coupling so that the system is selectively operable in three different modes. In the first mode, refrigerant bypasses the coil of the outdoor unit, while, in the second mode, refrigerant bypasses the coil of the in-ground unit. In the third mode, refrigerant flows through the coils of the in-ground and outdoor units.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a refrigeration cycle through which refrigerant is circulated, an indoor unit that accommodates at least a load-side heat exchanger of the refrigeration cycle and is placed indoors, and a controller that controls the indoor unit. The indoor unit includes an indoor air-blowing fan, an air inlet through which indoor air is sucked in, and an air outlet through which the air sucked in from the air inlet is blown indoors. The controller activates the indoor air-blowing fan when leakage of refrigerant is detected. An air passage that allows air to pass through the air outlet is established in the air outlet at least when leakage of refrigerant is detected.
AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS
INVERTER CONTROL APPARATUS AND AIR CONDITIONER
A controller of an inverter control apparatus includes an A/D conversion unit that performs digital conversion of an input signal when a signal for either an A/D converter start trigger or an A/D converter start trigger is input thereinto; a first inverter control unit that generates the A/D converter start trigger which starts the A/D conversion unit, based on A/D converter start timing information and a first carrier signal; a second inverter control unit that generates the A/D converter start trigger which starts the A/D conversion unit, based on A/D converter start timing information and a second carrier signal; and an A/D start factor selection unit that receives either the A/D converter start trigger or the A/D converter start trigger and selects an A/D start factor at a predetermined period timing of an operation period of the first carrier signal and the second carrier signal.
REFRIGERANT CHARGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
