HVAC SYSTEM WITH BYPASS CONDUIT
A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a vessel configured to receive refrigerant from a condenser of the HVAC system, an evaporator configured to receive the refrigerant from the vessel, a first conduit configured to direct a first flow of the refrigerant to a first inlet of the evaporator, and a second conduit configured to direct a second flow of the refrigerant to a second inlet of the evaporator. The second inlet is above the first inlet relative to a vertical axis.
Evaporator and refrigeration system
An evaporator (2) comprising: a casing (5); a plurality of heat transfer tubes (12) which are immersed in a liquid refrigerant (RL) in a liquid-phase region (A1) and in the interior of which a fluid having a higher temperature than that of the liquid refrigerant (RL) flows; and a demister (7) which is provided so as to cover from above the liquid surface (Ls) of the liquid refrigerant (RL) accommodated in the liquid-phase region (A1), and which traps liquid droplets contained in evaporated gas refrigerant (RG). The demister (7) comprises inclined sections (13) which, when viewed in a cross section intersecting the axial line (O2) of the heat transfer tubes (12), separate from the liquid surface (Ls) toward the center portion of the casing (5) along the liquid surface (Ls).
FALLING FILM EVAPORATOR
A falling film evaporator (100), a housing (101) thereof being accommodated with a heat exchange tube (304), a perforated plate (205) and a spraying tube (202), the perforated plate (205) being provided between the spraying tube (202) and the heat exchange tube (304), such that refrigerant sprayed from the spraying tube (202) is sprayed onto the surface of the heat exchange tube (304) by means of distribution of the perforated plate (205); spraying openings (301) on the spraying tube (202) have a strip shape, and the extension direction of the openings is perpendicular to the length direction of the spraying tube (202). By means of configuring the length direction of the spraying tube (202) to be substantially perpendicular to the length direction of the heat exchange tube (304), refrigerant sprayed from the spraying openings (301) flows substantially in the length direction of the housing (101), the flow path of the refrigerant being lengthened, avoiding uneven spraying on the surface of the heat exchange tube (304).
ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING DEVICES
An absorption refrigeration and air conditioning device capable of controlling temperature and/or the humidity of enclosed spaces particularly useful in maritime applications and improving fuel economy of internal combustion engines is provided.
Method for controlling level of liquid within an evaporator and a system thereof
A method controls the level of liquid within an evaporator of a flooded-type chiller without level sensors. The flooded-type chiller includes at least one compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve and an evaporator. A number of sensors positioned in the system measures a number of first parameter information values. A controller calculates a number of second parameter information values based on the measured first parameter information values and further determines a virtual refrigerant level as a control signal based on the second parameter information values. Based on the determined virtual refrigerant level, the controller opens, closes or holds the expansion valve with respect to a dead zone for maintaining a pre-defined target refrigerant level so as to provide the desired refrigerant level and oil in the evaporator.
Cooling system
An apparatus includes a high side heat exchanger, a flash tank, a first load, a first compressor, an auxiliary cooling system, and a first check valve. The high side heat exchanger removes heat from a refrigerant. The flash tank stores the refrigerant from the high side heat exchanger. The first load uses the refrigerant to remove heat from a space proximate the first load. The first compressor compresses the refrigerant from the first load. The auxiliary cooling system removes heat from the refrigerant stored in the flash tank during a power outage. The first check valve directs the refrigerant between the first load and the first compressor back to the flash tank when the pressure of the refrigerant between the first load and the first compressor exceeds a threshold during the power outage.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to heat exchangers and heat exchange systems such heat exchangers. The heat exchangers include a shell having an inlet and an outlet and heat exchange tube bundles arranged therein. The shell includes a first region communicating with the inlet configured to accommodate the heat exchange tube bundles and a refrigerant input from the inlet. The refrigerant performs heat exchange with a fluid in the heat exchange tube bundles. A second region is arranged between the first region and the outlet and communicates with the first region and the outlet. A heating device is disposed in the second region. Embodiments may optimize spatial layout of the heat exchanger tube bundles, effectively improving the utilization of shell space of the heat exchanger the heat transfer efficiency of the heat exchanger at the same material cost, and enhance the overall performance, safety and reliability of the system.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger includes a shell, a refrigerant distributor, tube bundle, and first baffle. The shell has a refrigerant inlet through which at least refrigerant with liquid refrigerant flows and a shell refrigerant vapor outlet. A longitudinal center axis of the shell extends substantially parallel to a horizontal plane. The refrigerant distributor fluidly communicates with the refrigerant inlet and is disposed within the shell. The refrigerant distributor has at least one liquid refrigerant distribution opening that distributes liquid refrigerant. The tube bundle is disposed inside of the shell below the refrigerant distributor. The first baffle extends downwardly from the refrigerant distributor at a top of the tube bundle to at least partially vertically overlap the top of the tube bundle. The first baffle is disposed laterally outwardly of the tube bundle toward a first lateral side of the shell.
Redistributing refrigerant between an evaporator and a condenser of a vapor compression system
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes an expansion device disposed between a condenser and an evaporator of a vapor compression system and a control panel communicatively coupled to the expansion device. The control panel is configured to: determine a liquid refrigerant level set point of the condenser based on parameters of the vapor compression system, provide a first control signal to increase an opening of the expansion device in response determining that the current liquid refrigerant level in the condenser is greater than a determined liquid refrigerant level set point of the condenser, and provide a second control signal to decrease the opening of the expansion device in response to determining that the current liquid refrigerant level in the condenser is less than the determined liquid refrigerant level set point of the condenser.
