RETURN AIR RECYCLING SYSTEM FOR AN HVAC SYSTEM
A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system having a return air recycling system that includes a heat exchanger configured to be disposed along a refrigerant circuit of the HVAC system and flow a refrigerant therethrough, an exhaust fan configured to direct return air across the heat exchanger to place the refrigerant in thermal communication with the return air and to exhaust the return air from the HVAC system, and a controller configured to adjust a speed of the exhaust fan, a flow rate of refrigerant through the heat exchanger, or both, based on feedback indicative of a temperature of the return air.
Valve System and Methods
A water distribution apparatus and method including cold and hot water supplies, a fan coil (or chilled beam device), a control valve having cold and hot water inlets and outlets, cold and hot water outputs configured to supply cold and hot water to the fan coil, cold and hot water return inlets configured to receive from the fan coil the water supplied by the cold and/or water outputs and outputting the cold and/or hot water to the cold and hot water supply lines, respectively, via the cold and hot water outlets, respectively. Cold and hot water is supplied from the cold and/or hot water outputs to the fan coil and received into the cold and hot water return inlets, respectively, and the cold and hot water supplied by the cold and hot water outputs to the fan coil is output to the cold and hot water supply lines, respectively.
COOLING SYSTEM
An apparatus includes a high side heat exchanger, a flash tank, a load, a compressor, and a heat exchanger. The high side heat exchanger removes heat from a refrigerant. The flash tank stores the refrigerant from the high side heat exchanger and to discharge a flash gas. The load uses the refrigerant from the cool a space proximate the load. The compressor compresses the refrigerant from the load. The heat exchanger transfers heat from the refrigerant from the compressor to the flash gas before the refrigerant from the compressor reaches the high side heat exchanger. The heat exchanger directs the flash gas to the compressor after heat from the refrigerant from the compressor is transferred to the flash gas and directs the refrigerant from the compressor to the high side heat exchanger after heat from the refrigerant from the compressor is transferred to the flash gas.
Air conditioner and its operating method
An air conditioner includes: a cooling unit having a compressor operated at a variable operating frequency to adjust a revolving speed thereof, a condenser, an expansion valve and a cooling coil; and a heating unit for causing the heating medium flowing from the compressor toward the condenser to diverge, and to return to flow into the condenser, through a heating coil and a thermal dose adjusting valve disposed on the downstream side thereof; so as to control a temperature of air by the cooling and heating coils. When an opening manipulated variable of the thermal dose adjusting valve exceeds a first threshold value over a period of time, an operating frequency of the compressor is decreased, and when the opening manipulated variable of the thermal dose adjusting valve falls below a smaller, second threshold value, over the said period of time, the operating frequency of the compressor is increased.
Method and system for producing a pressurized and at least partially condensed mixture of hydrocarbons
A mixture of hydrocarbons in vapour phase is passed through a feed scrubber. Feed scrubber vapour discharged from the feed scrubber is passed to a compression suction scrubber, and a vaporous compressor feed stream from the compression suction scrubber is compressed in a compressor train. A compressed vaporous discharge stream from the train of compressors is de-superheated, and at least a portion of the de-superheated stream is passed to a condenser, wherein this portion of the de-superheated stream is at least partly condensed to form a pressurized and at least partially condensed mixture of hydrocarbons. A recycle portion is split off from the de-superheated hydrocarbon stream, and a recycle flow is established to the compressor train of via a surge recycle separator drum and the compression suction scrubber. Liquid constituents removed and drained from the recycle portion in the surge recycle separator drum are fed to the feed scrubber.
