A control method for a refrigerator includes sensing a temperature of a storage room; operating a cool air supply at a cooling power when the sensed temperature of the storage room is equal to or above a first reference temperature; operating the cool air supply at a delay power, which is less than the cooling power, when the sensed temperature of the storage room is equal to or below a second reference temperature, which is less than the first reference temperature while the cool air supply is operating at the cooling power; and adjusting the cooling power or the delay power of the cool air supply according to the temperature of the storage room while the cool air supply is operating at the delay power, and operating the cool air supply at the determined adjusted cooling power or delay power.

A refrigeration apparatus, including a main circuit (1) for circulation of a main flow (90) of refrigerant, and a lubrication branch (20), comprising a lubrication inlet (21), configured to derive a lubrication flow (91) from the main flow (90) circulating through a supply part (16) of the main circuit; and a lubrication outlet (22), to feed the compressor (2) with the lubrication flow (91) for lubrication. According to the invention, the refrigeration apparatus further includes: a subcooling branch (40), comprising a subcooling inlet (41), connected to an evaporator (8) of the main circuit (1), so as to derive a subcooling flow (92), and a subcooling outlet (42), connected to the evaporator (8), for reintroducing the subcooling flow (92) into the main flow (90); and a subcooling heat exchanger (31).
External cooling unit design for a data center with two phase fluid thermal loops
A cooling system includes an ingress port to receive refrigerant in a vapor form from an evaporator, an egress port to return refrigerant in a liquid form back to the evaporator, a condenser coupled to the ingress port and the egress port, and a compressor coupled to the ingress port and the condenser. When the cooling system operates in a first mode, the condenser is configured to receive and condense the refrigerant from the vapor form into the liquid form and to return the refrigerant in the liquid form to the regress port. When the cooling system operates in a second mode, the compressor is configured to compress the refrigerant in the vapor form and to supply the compressed refrigerant to the condenser to be condensed therein.

A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes; a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor, a heat-source-side heat exchanger, a first expansion device, a second expansion device, and a load-side heat exchanger are sequentially connected by refrigerant pipes and in which refrigerant is circulated; a controller that controls the refrigerant circuit; a bypass pipe extending from a liquid pipe between the first expansion device and the second expansion device toward a suction side of the compressor; a third expansion device provided at the bypass pipe to decompress the refrigerant that flows through the bypass pipe; and a refrigerant cooler provided at the bypass pipe and downstream of the third expansion device to cause heat exchange to be performed between the refrigerant decompressed by the third expansion device and heat generated from the controller.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
A thermal management system includes a receiver configured to store a refrigerant fluid; a refrigeration system having a refrigerant fluid path that includes the receiver, and at least one evaporator disposed in the refrigerant fluid path. The refrigeration system is configured to receive the refrigerant fluid from the receiver through the refrigerant fluid path. The at least one evaporator is configured to receive the refrigerant fluid and to extract heat from at least one heat load having a specified thermal inertia that is in at least one of thermal conductive or convective contact with the at least one evaporator.

A thermal management system includes a closed-circuit refrigeration system that includes a closed-circuit refrigerant fluid path configured to store a refrigerant fluid; and an absorber/desorber including a bidirectional port coupled to the closed-circuit refrigerant fluid path to regulate an amount of refrigerant vapor at a compressor inlet of the closed-circuit refrigeration system. The absorber/desorber is configured to store an ionic liquid that is configured to absorb or desorb at least a portion of the refrigerant vapor based on a mode of operation of the absorber/desorber.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a refrigeration cycle circuit that has a compressor, a condenser, an expansion device, and an evaporator that are connected through a pipe, the refrigeration cycle circuit being configured to allow refrigerant to circulate in the refrigeration cycle circuit, and a controller configured to determine whether the refrigerant leaks or whether the expansion device malfunctions on the basis of a degree of subcooling at an outlet of the condenser and a degree of superheat at an outlet of the evaporator or a degree of superheat at a suction port of the compressor.
HYDROGEN COOLING APPARATUS, HYDROGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM, AND REFRIGERATOR
A hydrogen cooling apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a binary refrigeration unit including a high-temperature-side refrigerator and a low-temperature-side refrigerator; and a hydrogen-cooling-fluid circulation unit. The binary refrigeration unit cools a hydrogen cooling fluid circulated by the hydrogen-cooling-fluid circulation unit by means of a low-temperature-side evaporator of the low-temperature-side refrigerator. The high-temperature-side refrigerator includes: a high-temperature-side refrigeration circuit; and a high-temperature-side bypass circuit including: a high-temperature-side bypass flow path that extends from a part, which is downstream of a high-temperature-side compressor and upstream of a high-temperature-side condenser in the high-temperature-side refrigeration circuit, to a part, which is downstream of a high-temperature-side expansion valve and upstream of a high-temperature-side evaporator in the high-temperature-side refrigeration circuit; and a high-temperature-side opening and closing valve provided on the high-temperature-side bypass flow path. The high-temperature-side refrigerator opens the high-temperature-side opening and closing valve when a high-temperature-side refrigerant has an abnormal pressure.
