An ice making assembly includes an ice mold defining a mold cavity and a refrigeration loop having an evaporator in thermal communication with the ice mold. A compressor is operably coupled to the refrigeration loop for circulating a flow of refrigerant through the refrigerant loop to cool the evaporator and the ice mold. After ice is formed, a flow regulating device may divert a portion of the flow of refrigerant around the condenser through a bypass conduit to slowly increase a temperature of the refrigerant within the evaporator.

The controller has a dehumidifying and heating mode maximum radiator temperature MAP and a dehumidifying and cooling mode maximum radiator temperature MAP. The controller selects an operation mode in which a radiator target temperature TCO is achievable by heat radiation in a radiator 4 with reference to each MAP, on startup or at a time of change of the operation mode.

A multi-type air conditioner may include three pipes, including a high-pressure pipe, a low-pressure pipe, and a liquid line which may be connected to a plurality of indoor units, in which some of the indoor units may be operated in a cooling mode and the rest of the indoor units may be operated in a heating mode, such that waste heat from the indoor units operated in the heating mode may be recovered to be used for the indoor units operated in the cooling mode.

AIR CONDITIONER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner includes a heat pump cycle channel in which a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve, and an indoor heat exchanger are connected with one another in sequence. A resistance channel is disposed between an outlet of the compressor and the outdoor heat exchanger to increase pressure of refrigerant flowing from the outlet to the outdoor heat exchanger.

REFRIGERATION CYCLE DEVICE

A refrigeration cycle device includes a refrigerant circuit switching device. The refrigerant circuit switching device is configured to switch among at least a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit conducts refrigerant, which is outputted from a heat releasing device, to a liquid storage and conducts the refrigerant, which is outputted from the liquid storage, to a first depressurizing device and conducts the refrigerant, which is depressurized by the first depressurizing device, to an external heat exchanger. The second circuit conducts the refrigerant, which is outputted from the external heat exchanger, to the liquid storage and conducts the refrigerant, which is outputted from the liquid storage, to a second depressurizing device and conducts the refrigerant, which is depressurized by the second depressurizing device, to an evaporating device.

Hybrid Heat-Pump System

A heat-pump system may include a compressor, an outdoor heating exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and a supplemental heater. The outdoor heat exchanger may be in fluid communication with the compressor. The indoor heat exchanger may be in fluid communication with the compressor. The expansion device may be in fluid communication with the indoor and outdoor heat exchangers. The supplemental heater may include a burner and a working-fluid conduit. The burner may be configured to burn a fuel and heat the working-fluid conduit. When the heat-pump system is operating in a heating mode, the indoor heat exchanger may receive working fluid from the working-fluid conduit such that the working fluid flows from an outlet of the working-fluid conduit to an inlet of the indoor heat exchanger.
