The transverse flux reciprocating motor includes an outer stator including a stator core, a teeth portion extended from the stator core to an inside, and a teeth shoe extended from an inner end of the teeth portion in a circumferential direction; a coil disposed on the teeth portion; an inner stator disposed in the outer stator and configured to reciprocate in an axial direction due to an electromagnetic interaction with the coil; and a magnet disposed on the teeth shoe and facing the inner stator. The stator core includes a plurality of core plates stacked in the axial direction. The magnet includes first and second magnets that are spaced from each other in the axial direction.

A heat dissipation or heat exchange assembly includes a plate mounted on a lower portion of the housing to define one or more fluid passageways between the plate and the housing. Hot oil is collected from the working components of the linear compressor and is passed through the one or more fluid passageways to discharge heat through the housing before the oil is returned to the sump.

The method includes: monitoring the temperature of an evaporator of the refrigerator; if the current temperature of the evaporator of the refrigerator is greater than or equal to a first preset temperature threshold, then invoking a noise reduction mode to actively reduce the heat exchange amount between the evaporator and a compartment of the refrigerator until the current temperature of the evaporator of the refrigerator is smaller than or equal to a second preset temperature threshold, and invoking a cooling mode to resume the normal heat exchange between the evaporator and the compartment of the refrigerator, wherein the first preset temperature threshold is higher than the second preset temperature threshold.

A compressor driving apparatus includes: a plurality of switching elements; an inverter for converting direct current (DC) power into alternating current (AC) power according to a switching operation to output the converted AC power to the motor; an output current detector for detecting an output current flowing through the motor; and an inverter controller for controlling the inverter based on the output current, wherein the inverter controller controls the piston so that one end of the piston is fixed at a first position spaced apart from the discharge unit at stroke of the piston during a first period, controls the piston to collide with the discharge unit when a change rate in an operation rate or a position error of the compressor is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, and controls the piston so that the one end of the piston is fixed at a second position spaced apart from the discharge unit at stroke of the piston during a second period after the collision of the piston. Accordingly, control accuracy may be improved and a noise may be reduced upon piston position based operation control.
