A method for controlling a compressor system includes an electrically operated compressor for compressing a working medium, and a further electrical load. The compressor includes an electric motor for compressing the working medium, an inverter supplying the electric motor with single- or multi-phase alternating current, a power factor correction filter (PFC) supplying the inverter with direct current and whose current input for supplying power to the compressor connects to a grid current source providing alternating current. For supplying power thereto the further electrical load connects to the same grid connection point as the power factor correction filter. The method includes operating the compressor system with electrical current from the grid current source, determining at least one current characteristic value of the further load, and controlling the power factor correction filter of the compressor at least in dependence of the determined at least one current characteristic value of the further load.

A domestic appliance includes a heat pump including a compressor; a power inverter electrically connected with the heat pump; and a controller operably connected with the heat pump and the power inverter, wherein the controller is configured to perform an operation. The operation includes determining an instantaneous current input at the domestic appliance; receiving a signal from a remote terminal, the signal including a total current input at the remote terminal, the instantaneous current input being at least a portion of the total current input; comparing the total current input against a current input limit at the circuit breaker after receiving the signal; and adjusting a current input at the domestic appliance from the instantaneous current input according to the comparison of the total current input and the current input limit at the circuit breaker.

An object of the present disclosure is to reduce a carrier ripple current and to reduce an outflow of a carrier ripple current to a power supply. The power conversion device includes a rectifier circuit to convert an input voltage (interphase voltage) of a three-phase AC input from AC input terminals into a DC voltage, a converter to output an output voltage set to a set voltage value from the DC voltage output from the rectifier circuit, a smoothing capacitor connected between a positive-side converter output terminal (DC output terminal) and a negative-side converter output terminal (DC output terminal) of the converter from which the output voltage is output, an LC filter disposed between the AC input terminals, and the converter and including a filter reactor and a filter capacitor, and a controller to control the converter.
