A metering device may automatically control fluid flow through a valve. A control system may alter the automatic control of a metering device. In some implementations, a predetermined event may occur to alter the automatic control of the metering device.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH VAPOR INJECTION COMPRESSOR
An air conditioning system can be toggled between a heating mode, in which heat is withdrawn from a source (e.g., a geothermal source) and deposited into a conditioned space (e.g., a building), and a cooling mode, in which heat is withdrawn from the conditioned space and deposited into the source. The air conditioning system uses a combination of efficiency-enhancing technologies, including injection of superheated vapor into the system's compressor from an economizer circuit, adjustable compressor speed, the use of one or coaxial heat exchangers and the use of electronic expansion valves that are continuously adjustable from a fully closed to various open positions. A controller may be used to control the system for optimal performance in both the heating and cooling modes, such as by disabling the economizer circuit and vapor injection when the system is in the cooling mode.
REFRIGERATION APPLIANCE INCLUDING A COMPARTMENT THAT CAN BE HEATED AND COOLED
A refrigeration appliance, in particular a household refrigeration appliance, includes at least first, second and third storage chambers, and a refrigerant circuit on which the following are connected in series between a pressure connection and a suction connection of a compressor: a condenser, a first expansion valve, a first heat exchanger of the first storage chamber, a second expansion valve, a second heat exchanger of the second storage chamber, a third heat exchanger assigned to the third storage chamber, and a control circuit for controlling operation of the compressor and the expansion valves. The third heat exchanger is connected in series downstream of the second heat exchanger. The control circuit is configured to maintain a higher storage temperature in the third storage chamber than in the second storage chamber. A method for operating the refrigeration appliance and a computer program product are also provided.

Method of judging lack-of-freon in air conditioner, and air conditioner control method
A method of judging lack-of-freon in an air conditioner and an air conditioner control method. The control method includes: acquiring outflow air temperatures at the first air outlet and the second air outlet, and calculating a temperature difference; comparing the temperature difference with a preset temperature difference threshold; and adjusting an opening degree of the expansion valve accordingly. In the method, the opening degree of the expansion valve can be automatically adjusted according to a result of temperature comparison to compensate for the flow rate of freon, so as to improve the cooling or heating efficiency of the air conditioning system and realize the adaptive adjustment of the air conditioner, thereby ensuring the cooling or heating efficiency of the system even if the system lacks freon to a slight extent and effectively reducing energy consumption. The judging method has a higher accuracy of judging result, and is easier to implement.
