Hybrid fluid cooler with extended intermediate basin nozzles
A hybrid fluid cooler or tower that provides enhanced cooler performance by improving air and water distribution to the indirect heat exchange section by utilizing extended flow nozzles.
HEAT EXCHANGER FOR USE IN COOLING LIQUIDS
A heat exchanger has at least one inlet and outlet to permit circulation of refrigerant therethrough. Each heat exchanger includes a plurality of thin sections of material arranged between a pair of thin flat outer plates. Each of the thin sections of material is comprised of parallel flow paths, allowing for the refrigerant to flow through the inlet, then from one section to the next, and finally out the outlet. The arrangement of the sections of parallel flow paths allows for the refrigerant to come into contact with the majority of the inside wall of the outer plates, allowing for maximum heat exchange. In use for cooling liquids, the heat exchangers are arranged within a frame and brought into contact with the liquid to be cooled. When the heat exchangers are used to cool liquid sufficiently to produce ice crystals, a rotating scraping device sweeps across the surface of the heat exchanger, removing any ice crystals that have formed.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING NUGGET ICE IN A REFRIGERATOR
An ice making system for producing on-demand nugget ice in a refrigerator includes an auger type icemaker having a double thin-walled cylindrical flooded, evaporator and a chilled water reservoir connecting to refrigerated rater. When ice is demanded, the evaporator is then connected to the refrigeration circuit through a dedicated refrigerant control device to achieve 40 F. rapid cooling. With near 32 F. chilled water, a layer of ice can form on the evaporator surface within 1 minute. Meanwhile a rotating auger scrapes ice layer into flake ice and compresses it through an extrusion and delivery tubing to form cylindrical ice. Then it breaks into nugget ice in the tubing and drops in an ice container.
FOOD PROCESSOR WITH INTEGRATED AGITATION TREATING
A self-contained food processor is provided for treating a food flow path in the food processor with a solution. The food flow path can be treated without requiring disassembly and reassembly of the food processor and without requiring direct operator input. The food processor includes a controller for directing passage of a solution through at least portions of the food flow path without requiring constant operator oversight. The food processor can employ available positive pressure water supply, such as public utility water pressure to selectively and automatically push solutions, including rinses, backwards or forwards through the food flow path in the food processor.

Modular bucket and door architecture to deliver three ice functions
An appliance including an ice manipulation reservoir capable of receiving ice having a base, wherein the base includes a first level and a second level, with the first level descending gradually to the second level. A first ice modification member is disposed inside the ice manipulation reservoir adjacent the first level of the base, and a second ice modification member is disposed inside the ice manipulation reservoir adjacent the second level of the base. A motor is operably connected with the ice manipulation reservoir and includes an output shaft. An impeller is connected with the output shaft proximate to the plurality of ice modification members, with the impeller being operable between a first directional rotation, and a second directional rotation.
Water supply system for an ice making assembly
A water switch assembly for a nugget ice making assembly is provided. The ice making assembly includes a hollow auger rotatably mounted within a reservoir and configured for extruding ice. The water switch assembly extends vertically through the center of the ice making auger and reservoir. The water switch assembly is in fluid communication with a water inlet and includes a float for measuring the water level. In this manner, the water switch assembly is configured to control the level of water within the reservoir.
