APPLIANCE ICE MAKING ASSEMBLY
An ice making assembly for a refrigerated appliance can include a mold defining a chamber for the formation of an ice shape, the mold rotatable between a first position and a second position. An ejector may be positioned adjacent to the mold and is rotatable with the mold between the first position and the second position. The ejector can be configured to push the ice shape out of the chamber through an opening as the mold rotates between the first position and the second position.
Ice making device
An ice making device is provided and includes: an ice tray, having water storage recessed parts; a drive unit, structured to make the ice tray perform a reversing operation and a twisting operation interlocked with the reversing operation; and a frame, holding the drive unit. The drive unit is attached to the frame by being relatively moved with respect to the frame in an attaching direction intersecting the axial direction. The frame includes: a first positioning part, positioning the drive unit in the attaching direction; and a second positioning part, positioning the drive unit in the axial direction. The second positioning part includes: a restriction part, restricting a movement to the other side in the axial direction of the drive unit; and an abutting part, abutting with the drive unit from one side in the axial direction.
Ice maker
In an ice maker, water from a water supply pipe passes through a water flow port provided in a frame and is poured into a water receiving unit protruding outward from an ice making tray 5. The frame includes a first water channel portion intersecting a direction of an axis and the water flow port is provided in a side surface of the first water channel portion on a side of the ice making tray. Further, the frame includes a convex unit functioning as a water blocking unit and provided in a position on the upstream side of the water flow port and along the side surface in which the water flow port is provided. As a result, it is possible to prevent or suppress water flowing in a direction different from the opening direction of the water flow port, from reaching the water flow port.
Clear ice maker with warm air flow
A method for preparing clear ice includes supporting an ice tray via a rotating assembly. The rotating assembly includes a shroud enclosing a bottom surface of an ice forming plate of the ice tray, and forms an interior passage formed below the ice forming plate. The method further includes supplying water into the ice tray and supplying an air flow from an intake duct via an air duct inlet to the interior passage. The method also includes controlling an angular rotation of the rotating assembly. The rotating assembly rotates relative to the intake duct and the air duct inlet, and the air flow is continuously supplied from the intake duct throughout the angular rotation.
Flexing tray ice-maker with AC drive
An ice-maker provides a reversible AC motor whose direction is changed at a first and second stop positioning the tray in a filling position and an ice cubes discharging position, respectively. A bail arm may introduce an additional stop preventing discharge of ice when an ice bin is full. User controls may allow the user to set a water fill time based on local water pressure conditions. An ice tray incorporating an ice sensor may releasably connect to the ice-making machine for ready replacement.
Ice making assembly with twist ice tray and directional cooling
A method of making clear ice including filling an ice piece forming tray having an axis of rotation, a distal end, a motor engaging end, and plurality of ice piece making compartments with water. Freezing the water into ice by providing heat sinks disposed on and thermally connected to a bottom side of the ice piece forming tray. Removing heat from the plurality of heat sinks. Removing defrost water from the heat sinks by providing at least one defrost water channel along the axis of rotation, providing at least one defrost water channel along one of the distal end and the motor engaging end and connected to the defrost water channel along the axis of rotation. And delivering defrost water to a drain or defrost water catch tray positioned at one of the distal end and the motor engaging end.
HYBRID ICE MAKER
An ice making device provides an ice tray and a frame to hold the ice tray. The frame has a proximal end with a motor and a distal end with a circular opening. An insert positioned in the circular opening with a projection provides a vibrating motion to dislodge ice cubes from the ice tray. An ice tray includes an integrated heating circuit for sensing capacitance and releasing frozen ice cubes. An ice tray also includes a raised flange to prevent water from splashing out of the ice tray.
Refrigerator
Provided is a refrigerator. The refrigerator may include a first tray assembly defining a portion of an ice making cell and a second tray assembly defining another portion of the ice making cell. The one tray assembly of the first and second tray assemblies may include a first portion that defines at least a portion of the ice making cell and a second portion extending from a predetermined point of the first portion.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment, a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the freezing compartment, an ice maker located adjacent to a rear surface of the door and configured to supply water to make ice automatically, to provide ice to an ice tray, and to transfer ice automatically, a cabinet duct located above the freezing compartment and configured to supply cold air to the freezing compartment or to the ice maker, an ice cover that is located above the ice maker and that includes a cover inflow hole configured to receive cold air located at a position that faces an outlet of the cabinet duct, and a supply duct that connects the cover inflow hole to the ice maker and that defines a cold air supply passage to an interior area of the ice maker.
Ice making apparatus for use in a refrigerator
The present invention relates to an ice making apparatus comprising a casing, ice trays, an ice receptacle, a retainer for rotatably supporting the ice trays and one or more than one knob for respectively twisting the ice trays either simultaneously or singly. In the ice making apparatus of the present invention, the retainer selectively supports either one of a plurality of exchangeable covers enabling a single or simultaneous twist type ice making apparatus. One exchangeable cover has a plurality of bearings.
