The flow path switching valve is configured to selectively allow the refrigerant received from the condenser to flow into the first capillary tube or the second capillary tube.
Refrigerator with door-mounted icemaking system
A refrigerator and method utilize a door-mounted icemaking system including an icemaking mold, an ice storage bin and a cold wall evaporator disposed proximate the ice storage bin along an interior wall of the door to provide cooling proximate the ice storage bin. In some instances, the cold wall evaporator may be in addition to an icemaking evaporator that provides direct cooling of the icemaking mold, and furthermore, in some instances, the cold wall and icemaking evaporators may be separately controllable to optimize cooling within the door-mounted icemaking system. In addition, in some instances, a hot wall condenser may be used in a door-mounted icemaking system to dissipate heat generated by a refrigeration circuit through an exterior wall of a door. Further, in some instances a reversible refrigeration circuit may be used in connection with an icemaking evaporator to assist in ejecting ice from an icemaking mold.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING REFRIGERATOR
A method for controlling a refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that, when the temperature of a freezing chamber is in a satisfactory temperature range, and a deep-freezing chamber mode is turned on such that a deep-freezing chamber cooling operation is being performed, the refrigerator is controlled to perform a cold air sagging prevention operation in which a fan of the freezing chamber repeatedly starts and stops at regular intervals.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator is provided. The refrigerator includes a plurality of refrigerant flow paths, configured to reduce the drift of the refrigerant. The refrigerator includes a refrigeration cycle including a compressor, a condenser, a plurality of refrigerant flow paths branched at a downstream of the condenser, the plurality of refrigerant flow paths each including a pressure reducing device, and an evaporator connected to the plurality of refrigerant flow paths, and a processor including a switching valve configured to individually switch an open or closed state of each of the plurality of refrigerant flow paths, the processor being configured to adjust a flow rate of refrigerant flowing in each of the plurality of refrigerant flow paths by individually duty-controlling an opening and closing time of each of the plurality of refrigerant flow paths by controlling the switching valve.
DIRECT COOLING ICE MAKER
An ice maker apparatus includes an ice mold having first and second ends spaced apart in a longitudinal direction of the ice mold via opposite, first and second lateral sides. A first recess is formed in the first lateral side of the ice mold. A first thermally insulative cover has a first depression formed therein and is removably attached to the ice mold and disposed adjacent to the first lateral side thereof. The first recess and the first depression collectively define a first passage therebetween. An ice maker evaporator is provided and has a first leg. The first leg is disposed within the first passage.
