Vacuum adiabatic body and refrigerator

Provided is a vacuum adiabatic body. To reduce a heat transfer amount between two plates, the vacuum adiabatic body includes: a conductive resistance sheet connecting plate members to each other, an exhaust port through which a gas of a third space is exhausted, and a sealing frame covering a conductive resistance sheet. A virtual line connecting both end portions of the conductive resistance sheet to each other is installed to be obliquely inclined when at least one extension direction of a first plate member or a second plate member is viewed in a horizontal direction.

HYBRID MOBILE SHELLFISH COOLING SYSTEM

A hybrid shellfish cooling system employs both DC and AC cooling units that use both solar power and AC electrical supply as energy sources. As temperature control and uniform temperature distribution in the cooling system are critical factors in reducing vibrio growth on raw oysters and reducing energy consumption, the hybrid shellfish cooling system is equipped with a specially configured divider that optimizes airflow through the cooling system interior cabinet to achieve uniform temperature distribution in six individual internal compartments inside of the cooling system. Test results indicated that an average of 130 min. cooling was required to reach the suggested oyster temperatures of 7.2° C. and meet the cooling time requirement (i.e., 10 h or less). Airflow is further optimized via fan location and airflow direction, whereby a circulation fan located on the lower part of the 12-volt DC section with an air supply from the 12-volt DC section to the 110-volt AC section provides the optimal condition to achieve relatively uniform temperature distribution.

REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE

A refrigerator appliance includes a housing, a mullion, and a biasing element. The housing defines an internal cavity and door frame that accesses the internal cavity. The mullion is disposed within the cavity and divides the cavity into a freezer compartment and a refrigerator compartment. A position of the mullion is adjustable within the cavity such that movement of the mullion away from the freezer compartment and toward the refrigerator compartment increases a volume of the freezer compartment and decreases a volume of the refrigerator compartment, and such that movement of the mullion away from the refrigerator compartment and toward the freezer the compartment decreases the volume of the freezer compartment and increases the volume of the refrigerator compartment. The biasing element is secured to the housing and the mullion. The biasing element is configured to bias the mullion toward the freezer compartment.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator includes evaporator cases arranged in a freezing chamber and located on a bottom surface of a partition wall, an evaporator installed inside the evaporator cases, and grill covers arranged on a rear side of the evaporator cases and having a blowing fan installed therein. The refrigerator includes a refrigerating chamber discharge passage which extends from the grill covers to a refrigerating chamber and through which at least a portion of cold air passing through the blowing fan flows, and a freezing chamber discharge passage which extends from the grill covers to the freezing chamber and through which the remaining cold air among the cold air passing through the blowing fan passes.

Refrigerator drawer assembly

A refrigerator drawer assembly, comprising: a drawer body, the drawer body comprising a front wall and a rear wall arranged opposite to each other along the pulling direction thereof, and defining an accommodating cavity used for placing articles, wherein the front wall is provided with two first sliding grooves extending along the horizontal direction and running along the thickness direction thereof, and the rear wall is provided with two second sliding grooves aligned with the two first sliding grooves; and two sliding partition assemblies, wherein two ends of each sliding partition assembly are inserted into a set of a first sliding groove and a second sliding groove that are aligned, and the two sliding partition assemblies are configured to be able to slide along the first sliding grooves and the second sliding grooves and are capable of sliding to a fitted state. The drawer assembly may achieve two-chamber separation and three-chamber separation of the drawer body, thereby effectively improving the user experience.

Air passageways in a variable climate zone compartment

A refrigeration appliance includes a liner having a rear wall that is contoured to define a first vertical recess therein. A partition divides the compartment into an upper and a lower compartment and includes a first protrusion disposed in the first vertical recess in the liner. A first opening extends through the first protrusion and is aligned with the first vertical recess in the liner. A temperature control system is positioned in the upper compartment and includes a vertical partition. At least one lower opening extends through a front surface of the vertical partition and fluidly communicates with an upper end of the first vertical recess in the liner and the first opening extending through the partition. An evaporator fan is disposed in the lower compartment.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet having an inner casing, an outer casing, and a thermal insulation space located between the inner casing and the outer casing and filled with a thermal insulation material, to form a pair of thermal insulation walls disposed opposite to each other. The thermal insulation walls have recesses formed in the inner casing and opened forward. A beam bridges the pair of thermal insulation walls, the beam including insert portions disposed on two ends and respectively inserted into the corresponding recesses. A first fixing mechanism is at least partially located in the recess and fixes the insert portion to the thermal insulation wall, which not only facilitates the assembly of the beam and improves production efficiency, but also is beneficial to improving a weight capacity of the beam.
