Vacuum adiabatic body and refrigerator
A vacuum adiabatic body includes a conductive resistance sheet which blocks heat conduction between plate members, and a sealing frame which covers the conductive resistance sheet. The sealing frame includes a side surface part, an outer surface part which is bent and extends from a side of the side surface part, and an inner surface part which is bent and extends from the other side of the side surface part. The sealing frame is provided as a configuration of a concave groove in which the width between the outer surface part and the inner surface part is smaller than the width of the side surface part. According to the present invention, a peripheral portion of the vacuum adiabatic body can be stably maintained.
APPLIANCE TRIM BREAKER
A trim breaker includes first and second opposing vertical portions, a top portion, and a bottom portion. An outer rim extends about a periphery of the trim breaker. An inner edge is spaced interiorly from the outer rim. The trim breaker further includes a first surface proximate the inner edge and a second surface proximate the outer rim. A pair of parallel ribs extend from the outer rim toward the inner edge. Further, the first surface extends outward from the second surface, thereby forming a plateau.
VACUUM ADIABATIC BODY AND REFRIGERATOR
A vacuum adiabatic body includes a first plate; a second plate; a seal; a support; a heat resistance unit; and an exhaust port, wherein the heat resistance unit includes a conductive resistance sheet connected to at least one of the first and second plates, the conductive resistance sheet resisting heat conduction flowing along a wall for the third space, the conductive resistance sheet includes a mounting part mounted on the first or second plate and a curved part having at least one portion depressed into the third space, a coupler that fixes the conductive resistance sheet to the first or second plate is formed on the mounting part, and the curved part includes a first curved part depressed toward the third space and a second curved part extending from the first curved part, the second curved part surrounding an edge portion of the first or second plate.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes a vacuum adiabatic body having a storage space to store a product and a door to open or close the storage space. The main body includes a first plate and perforation plate. A cool air supply gap through which cool aft flows is formed between the first plate and the perforation plate. At least two holes through which cool air is discharged to the storage space are formed in the perforation plate. The first plate may be a wall of the main body.
VACUUM ADIABATIC BODY AND REFRIGERATOR
A vacuum adiabatic body includes: a first plate, a second plate, a sealing part sealing the first plate and the second plate to provide a third space, a supporting unit maintaining the third space, and a heat resistance unit for decreasing a heat transfer amount between the first plate and the second plate. The second plate may include a front part and a side part having a different extending direction from the front part, and the side part defines at least one portion of a wall for the third space.
ENCAPSULATION SYSTEM FOR A THERMAL BRIDGE BREAKER-TO-METAL LINER
An appliance includes an outer wrapper, an inner liner, a trim breaker having a wrapper channel that receives a wrapper edge of the outer wrapper and a liner channel that receives a liner edge of the inner liner, and an insulation material disposed within an insulating cavity defined therebetween. A multi-component thermal encapsulation material defines pre-mix, application and sealing states. The pre-mix state is defined by the distinct components of the thermal encapsulation material being separated from one another, the application state defined by the distinct components combined together into an uncured state of the thermal encapsulation material, and the sealing state defined by the thermal encapsulation material disposed within the wrapper and liner channels and surrounding the wrapper and liner edges, respectively, in the sealing state that defines a hermetic seal between the trim breaker and the outer wrapper and the inner liner.
POLYMER TRIM BREAKER HAVING GAS-BLOCKING FLAKES AND AN EPOXY COATING
A refrigerator includes an inner liner, an outer wrapper and a trim breaker that extends between the inner liner and the outer wrapper to define an insulated structural cabinet. The trim breaker includes a plurality of gas-blocking flakes, wherein each gas-blocking flake includes a longitudinal axis that extends substantially parallel with an elongated surface of the respective gas-blocking flake. The longitudinal axis and the elongated surface of each corresponding gas-blocking flake is oriented to be substantially parallel with a portion of an outer surface of the trim breaker located near the respective gas-blocking flake.
Thermal frame
The invention features a refrigerator cabinet door frame. The frame includes a thermally conductive outer frame, a thermally insulating inner frame member, and a sealing plate. The outer frame member includes a forward end having an outer surface that is disposed outside of a refrigerated cabinet with the frame mounted, and a rearward end defining a joint. The inner frame member includes a first end retained in the joint, and a second end. The sealing plate includes a first edge coupled to the outer frame member at the rearward end, forward of the joint, a second edge supported by the second end of the inner frame member, and a thermally conductive sealing surface. The first edge of the sealing plate is coupled to the outer frame member such that the sealing surface and the outer surface of the outer frame member together form a continuous heat transfer path.
DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR USE ON UTILITY TRUCK
A multi-sheet component for a utility vehicle that includes at least one gap between at least two of the sheets, thereby providing a component that enhances worker safety by increasing component stiffness and reducing component thickness. The component is manufactured through multi-sheet thermoforming and uses a conical frustum corrugation to increase stiffness.
