A refrigerator includes a cabinet and a door. The door includes a panel assembly, a door frame, a door liner, and an insulator provided in a space defined by the panel assembly and the door frame. The panel assembly includes a front panel and a rear panel. The door further includes a rod that connects the front panel to the rear panel, a heater housing that covers the rod and is attached to a rear surface of the front panel, and a heating device coupled to the heater housing and in contact with the rear surface of the front panel.

Refrigerator appliance and method of forming refrigerator appliance using ultrasonic welding

A method of manufacturing a refrigerator appliance includes a providing step of providing a liner and a refrigerator component. The liner defines a compartment for storing food items and includes a liner contact structure. The refrigerator component includes component contact structure. The method further includes a staging step that includes arranging the liner and refrigerator component such that the liner and component contact structures are in direct contact with each other under pressure, thereby forming a staged assembly. Moreover, the method includes a welding step that includes applying ultrasonic energy to the staged assembly to weld the liner and refrigerator component together at their interface, thereby forming a liner assembly. The method further includes a cabinet assembly step that includes arranging the liner assembly within an outer shell, and then injecting an insulating foam into a space between the liner assembly and outer shell.

COMPOSITE CONTAINER

There is disclosed composite container comprising a thermally insulated inner container disposed within a thermally insulated outer container. The thermally insulated inner container is configured to receive one or more phase change material (PCM) elements to define a payload enclosure. The one or more PCM elements are configured to maintain a payload disposed in the payload enclosure initially at −20° C. between 8° C. and −25° C., such as between 2° C. and 8° C. or between −15° C. and −25° C., for a period of at least 48 hours in an ambient temperature of up to 35° C. when tested pursuant to ISTA 7D Test Procedure. The composite container can be used to ship temperature-sensitive payloads such as perishable goods (e.g., a COVID-19 vaccine such as the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine).

TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED PRODUCT SHIPPER WITH A DUAL PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL LIQUID SUSPENSION

A temperature-controlled shipper for shipping diagnostic blood samples is disclosed. The shipper must remain at a temperature between 6° C. and 37° C. for up to 24 hours while in transit. The shipper includes identical mating PCM blow-molded bottles which enclose and protect diagnostic blood sample vials. Identical mating clamshell insulating containers further enclose and protect the PCM bottles. Both the bottles and clamshell containers can be re-used. A dual PCM liquid suspension is utilized in the PCM bottles and is preconditioned and stored at a single temperature.

REFRIGERATOR

A refrigerator including an insulating wall. The insulating wall includes an inner surface member, an outer surface member, a vacuum insulation material, an insulating member, and a foam insulation material. The inner surface member forms at least a portion of the inner surface of the refrigerator. The outer surface member forms at least a portion of the outer surface of the refrigerator. The vacuum insulation material is disposed between the inner surface member and the outer surface member. The insulating member is disposed between the vacuum insulation material and the inner surface member or between the vacuum insulation material and the outer surface member, and includes an aerogel, axerogel, or a cryogel. At least a portion of the foam insulation material is used to fill the space between the vacuum insulation material and the insulating member.

REFRIGERATOR

A refrigerator includes a housing and a first partition portion. The housing includes a first storage chamber. The first partition portion is disposed in the first storage chamber and partitions the inside of the first storage chamber into at least a first storage portion and a second storage portion which is cooled to a temperature zone lower than that of the first storage portion. At least a part of the first partition portion is formed of a heat-insulating material containing an aerogel, a xerogel, or a cryogel.

REFRIGERATOR

A refrigerator includes a main body including a plurality of wall modules, a storeroom disposed inside the main body, and a door arranged to open or close the storeroom. The plurality of wall modules include a first wall module having a concave portion and a second wall module having a convex portion engaged with the concave portion. The convex portion includes an insulation filling space in which insulation is filled, and a fastening groove. A fastening member is inserted into the fastening groove so as to be fastened to the first wall module and the second wall module.

A transportable coolroom module is provided including a base frame and a coolroom structure mounted on the base frame, wherein the coolroom structure includes a floor, a plurality of walls each extending above the floor, and a roof supported by the walls. At least one access door may be provided in at least one of the walls, and at least one removable infill panel may be provided in at least one of the other walls. The removable infill panel may be attached to the coolroom structure. The transportable coolroom module may be used as a stand-alone coolroom. The at least one removable infill panel may be selectively removed from the coolroom structure and the transportable coolroom module may be selectively interconnected with one or more other like transportable coolroom modules to create a larger combined coolroom environment.

Refrigerator cabinet

A foot is connected to the bottom wall of a refrigeration cabinet. The foot is selectively movable relative to the bottom wall to adjust a vertical position of the foot with respect to the bottom wall. The bottom wall provides access to the foot from within the interior of the cabinet to allow a user to selectively move the foot to adjust the vertical position of the foot with respect to the bottom wall. A floor glide is connected to the bottom wall and initially protrudes downward from the bottom wall beyond the foot. The floor glide enables the cabinet to slide along a support surface to a deployment position so then the foot can be lowered to support the cabinet at the deployment position on the foot.
