REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes a cabinet, a door configured to open/close the cabinet, an outer plate defining a front surface of the door and having an opening formed therein to pass through the door, a door liner defining a rear surface of the door, lighting members configured to illuminate storage spaces of the door and the cabinet, a transparent panel assembly mounted to shield the opening and allowing the storage spaces to be selectively seen according to an ON/OFF state of the lighting members, an insulator filled between the outer plate and the door liner, and a blocking part arranged inside the door along a periphery of the transparent panel assembly and detachably coupled to a peripheral surface of the transparent panel assembly to fix the transparent panel assembly.
Refrigerator and manufacturing method therefor
Disclosed is a refrigerator including an ultrathin wall-type insulating wall of which the thickness is made to be thin so as to increase the capacity of a storage chamber, while maintaining heat-insulating performance. A vacuum insulating material, provided inside the insulating wall, is provided so as to come into contact with an outer chamber such that the length between the outer chamber and an inner chamber is reduced. In addition, a foam material, which is formed by being foamed between the inner chamber and the outer chamber and is provided between the vacuum insulating material and the inner chamber, is formed to have a thin thickness so as to reduce the total thickness of the insulating wall, thereby increasing the capacity of the storage chamber and enabling the refrigerator to have a slim design so as to improve the aesthetics of the refrigerator.
Injection molded front frame corners for cooling appliances
A refrigerator front frame for a refrigerator appliance, including: four profiles comprising two vertical profiles each having a first width and two horizontal profiles at least one of which has a second width, where the first width and the second width are different; and four corner connecting pieces configured to join the four profiles. Each of the four corner connecting pieces includes a horizontal receiving portion configured to receive one of the two horizontal profiles thereover and a vertical receiving portion configured to receive one of the two vertical profiles thereover. The ends of the two vertical profiles abut against sides of the two horizontal profiles or vice versa, such that a joining line between each of the two vertical profiles and each of the two horizontal profiles is either horizontal or vertical, and such that each of the four corner connecting pieces is substantially covered and hidden from view.
Portable cooler
A portable cooler configured to have an outer housing and an inner compartment disposed in the interior volume of the outer housing. A void is present intermediate the outer housing and the inner compartment. An insulating sheet material comprised of a first layer and a second layer is circumferentially disposed around the inner compartment within the void. The insulating material is wound around the inner compartment at least twice and includes a void intermediate each wound. The insulating material first layer is manufactured from aluminum faced ceramic cloth and the second layer of the insulating material is manufactured from a flexible mica sheet. The insulating material has a first end secured to an inner surface of the outer housing and a second end secured to an outer surface of the inner compartment. The cooler further includes a hingedly mounted lid.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes an inner case configured to accommodate a refrigerated item therein, an outer case configured to surround the inner case, a heat insulator configured to be at least partially disposed between the inner case and the outer case, and a reinforcing member disposed between the inner case and the outer case to support the outer case and having a fastening part to couple the refrigerator with another refrigerator installed adjacent to the refrigerator by using a connection member, and the fastening part coupled to the connection member to enable alignment between the refrigerator and the another refrigerator.
REFRIGERATOR WITH ADJUSTABLE BIN SYSTEM
A refrigerator includes a housing defining an interior compartment with an open side and a door rotatably coupled with the housing and selectively closing at least a portion of the open side. The door includes a door liner having a plurality of mounting members mounted thereto. The mounting members are foamed-in place by an interconnection with an insulation material provided in an inner cavity of the door. The mounting members further include mounting plates extending outwardly from an outer surface of the door liner. The refrigerator further includes a storage compartment system comprised of multiple interconnecting modules that are removeably mounted to the mounting plates of the mounting members. The interconnecting modules can be reconfigured to provide multiple arrangements of storage compartments supported on the door.
REFRIGERATOR DOOR HAVING VACUUM INSULATION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a refrigerator door having a vacuum insulation assembly and a method for manufacturing the same, including a first door body and a second door body coupled to each other to form the exterior of the door. A heat insulating space is formed between the first door body and the second door body, and the vacuum insulation assembly is installed in the heat insulating space. A sealed vacuum chamber is formed inside the vacuum insulation assembly, and the edge of the vacuum insulation assembly can be surrounded by a foam filled part. As such, the vacuum insulation assembly is installed inside the refrigerator door, and the vacuum insulation assembly has high insulation performance, and thus can replace the existing foam filled part, and therefore, the thickness of the refrigerator door can be reduced.
Insulation system for a cooking appliance incorporating a plurality of microsphere sheets
An appliance includes an outer shell and an inner shell, wherein the outer shell and the inner shell are engaged to define an insulating cavity therebetween, and wherein the inner shell includes an inner surface that defines an interior cavity. An insulation member includes a plurality of layers, each layer of the plurality of layers including an insulative sheet defining first and second surfaces and a plurality of microspheres at least partially disposed within the insulative sheet, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of microspheres extends outward from each of the first and second surfaces to define a plurality of protrusions, and wherein the engagement of two adjacent layers of the plurality of layers causes a portion of the plurality of protrusions to engage and define a plurality of insulating air pockets between the adjacent layers.
