Structural panel for an appliance having stamped components and method therefor
An operable panel for an appliance includes a metallic outer wrapper having a perimetrical wrapper edge that partially defines a perimetrical breaker channel, an inner liner and a plurality of corner brackets disposed proximate the perimetrical wrapper edge. Each corner bracket cooperates with the perimetrical wrapper edge to fully define the perimetrical breaker channel. A trim breaker is adhered to the metallic outer wrapper and the corner brackets at the perimetrical breaker channel and having a liner channel that receives a portion of the inner liner. The trim breaker extends between the inner liner and the outer wrapper. An insulation material is disposed within an insulating cavity defined between the inner liner and the outer wrapper.
Vacuum insulated panel for counteracting vacuum bow induced deformations
A vacuum insulated cabinet structure includes first and second cover members having pre-deformed portions and perimeter portions. The perimeter portions of the first and second cover members are disposed along first and second planar levels and the pre-deformed portions of the first and second cover members include portions thereof extending outwardly relative to the first and second planar levels. A thermal bridge interconnects the first cover member and the second cover member at the perimeter portions thereof to define an insulating cavity therebetween. The insulating cavity is a sealed cavity having a vacuum drawn therefrom. The pre-deformed portions of the first and second cover members move inwardly towards the first and second planar levels under a force of the vacuum within the insulating cavity.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a vacuum adiabatic body having a storage space to store a product and a door to open or close the storage space. The main body includes a first plate and perforation plate. A cool air supply gap through which cool air flows is formed between the first plate and the perforation plate. At least two holes through which cool air is discharged to the storage space are formed in the perforation plate. The first plate may be a wall of the main body.
TRIM BREAKER HAVING METALLIC INSERT FOR DECREASED GAS PERMEATION
A vacuum insulated structure includes a trim breaker having a wrapper channel and a liner channel that extend perimetrically about the trim breaker. An inner liner is attached to the trim breaker at the liner channel. An outer wrapper is attached to the trim breaker at the wrapper channel. A metallic plate is disposed within the trim breaker and extends from a first area proximate the liner channel to a second area proximate the wrapper channel. The metallic plate defines an internal barrier to gas permeation through the trim breaker.
ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY FOR AN INSULATED DOOR
An insulated structure includes a door that has a liner and a wrapper. The liner defines at least one channel. At least one attachment feature is disposed within the at least one channel defined by the liner and coupled to the door. The at least one attachment feature includes a body that has a plurality of apertures that are defined along a length of the body. A bin is operably coupled to the door via the at least one attachment feature. The bin includes a coupling feature that extends through at least one of the plurality of apertures that are defined by the body.
Vacuum insulator in a storehouse and methods of making and using the same
A vacuum insulator including a heat diffusion block placed in a vacuum space; a thermoelectric module, in the vacuum space, coming into contact with the heat diffusion block so as to exchange heat therewith: and a heat sink exchanging heat with the thermoelectric module and placed in a first space or a second place. High heat-insulation performance and heat-transfer performance can be obtained.
Vacuum adiabatic body and refrigerator
A vacuum adiabatic body may include: a first plate member; a second plate member; a sealing part sealing the first plate member and the second plate member to provide a third space; a supporting unit maintaining the third space; a heat resistance unit at least including a conductive resistance sheet capable of resisting heat conduction flowing along a wall for the third space to decrease a heat transfer amount between the first plate member and the second plate member; and an exhaust port through which a gas in the third space is exhausted. A side frame may be fastened to the conductive resistance sheet and the second plate member, and the side frame is fastened to an edge portion of the second plate member. Accordingly, the formation of dews may be prevented and an adiabatic effect may be improved.
Vacuum adiabatic body and refrigerator
A vacuum adiabatic body between a first space and a second space includes an alternating current line through which AC current flows as a driving source, a direct current line through which direct current flows as a driving source, and a signal line through which a control signal flows as electric lines configured to electrically connect the first space to the second space. Thus, the number of lines passing through the vacuum adiabatic body may be reduced.
Vacuum adiabatic body and refrigerator
A vacuum adiabatic body includes a heat exchange pipeline and a sealing plug. The heat exchange pipeline includes at least two pipelines which pass through a first plate and a second plate to allow a refrigerant to move between inner and outer spaces. The sealing plug allows the heat exchange pipeline to pass through a first point of the first plate and a second point of the second plate without contacting a third space.
Double wall insulated beverage housing system with temperature maintenance
The double walled vacuum insulated beverage housing system provides an aperture for receiving a heat transfer unit. The heat transfer unit also provides an aperture for receiving a beverage vessel within the heat transfer unit. The heat transfer unit stores a heat transfer material including but not limited to a fluid, gel, phase change material, or other substance that can be heated or cooled depending upon the desired effect on the beverage. A retention shoulder secures the heat transfer unit adjacent an insulating chamber to insulate both the heat transfer unit and the beverage.
