RETRACTABLE ICE COOLER
20170254578 · 2017-09-07 ·

One embodiment of an improved portable ice cooler that eases access to the cooled contents by integrating in a single apparatus an adjustable ice containment device, a front door, a window, internal lighting and a specialized external contour. The benefits these features provide are a significant reduction in the discomfort and difficulty currently encountered when placing, locating, and removing contents from a current state of the art ice cooler that is accessed from the top or front. The ice containment device further offers the capability of holding a desired level of retraction to the ice within the cooler. The provision for retraction of the ice and thereby the ability to adjust both the proximity of the ice to the items in the cooler as well as the weight of the ice upon those items can be utilized to cool fragile objects.

Grip for a striking implement
20170203171 · 2017-07-20 ·

Grips for striking implements, e.g., baseball bats, that adjust the position of the implement in the user's hand such that the implement can be held in a preferred position relative to the user's forearm without the user needing to radially deviate their wrist from its neutral position are disclosed.

Certain embodiments are suited for placement on a standard bat by the user. Other embodiments are more suited for placement on a modified bat during manufacture.

Use of the disclosed grips increases user comfort and lessens the risk to injuries associated with radial deviation of the wrist and with movement of the user's hand in relation to the striking implement, e.g., the bottom of the batter's palm striking against the knob of a bat.

Cooler with Raised Rack
20170159989 · 2017-06-08 ·

A cooler with a raised rack. The cooler with raised rack is a cooler having a base, sidewalls and a pivotally attached lid, forming an interior volume. A raised ledge is placed on the base and around a perimeter of the interior volume, forming a reservoir. A rack rests on an upper surface of the ledge. The rack is designed to support items, such as packages of food and ice, while allowing liquid to pass through openings in the rack, toward the reservoir below. This allows for food and other items to be in contact with cubes of ice while separating them from the melted water, keeping the contents of the cooler both cold and dry.

SYSTEM TO HOLD MULTIPLE BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
20250051086 · 2025-02-13 ·

A nesting system for securing a container is disclosed. The container could be a soft-sided backpack style cooler. Such a system may include a cooler with a sidewall, a top, a base, a vertical axis extending from the base to the top, and an insulated interior region. The base may have a bottom plate portion with at least one protrusion extending down from bottom plate portion and one or more holes formed through protrusion orthogonal to the vertical axis. The protrusion could be a wall that extends downward from the bottom plate portion of the base around the entire perimeter of the base. In addition, the protrusion could have an irregular profile with feet that extends further down then the rest of the wall. The system may also include a nesting platform with a bottom tray and a vertical wall extending up from the bottom tray. The bottom tray and vertical wall may be sized to allow the base to fit within tray and vertical wall. In addition, a spring-loaded pin may be attached to the vertical wall and configured to take a receded pin position when the spring is compressed and an extended pin position when the spring is at equilibrium. A receded pin position might be one that allows a protrusion from the base of the container, which could be a cooler, to engage with the nesting platform such that holes formed through the base are aligned with the spring-loaded pins. In so doing, the spring-loaded pins may be released and capable of assuming an extended pin position in which the pins extend at least partially through holes and effectively secure the container and its base to the nesting platform.

Cascading Ice Luge

Embodiments of ice luge apparatuses and methods for making cascading ice luges are disclosed. Apparatuses embodying the principles of the invention feature shelves in a stepwise configuration and alternative configurations. The shelves are positioned by supporting structures. Ice blocks can be frozen in trays such that pre-formed lanes are formed in the ice blocks. The trays can be of convenient size that can be placed in a conventional household freezer. Ice blocks can be arranged and oriented so that a liquid or beverage placed on the uppermost ice block will flow in the preformed lanes in a cascading manner thereby rapidly cooling the beverage with minimal dilution.
