A container with functions of temperature indication and thermal storage is provided. The container includes: an inner bottle containing a liquid, a thermochromic and thermal storage material layer disposed on the outer side of the inner bottle, and a first polymer layer disposed on the outer side of the thermochromic and thermal storage material layer. The thermochromic and thermal storage material layer comprises a thermal storage material and a thermochromic material. The thermal storage material is adapted to undergo a phase change for absorption or release of thermal energy. The thermochromic material is mixed in the thermal storage material and having at least two color changes depending on a temperature change. Wherein, the first polymer layer includes a wavelength-selective polymer, and the thermochromic and thermal storage material layer absorbs light passing through the first polymer layer.

COOLER CONTAINER, COLD TRAY, AND RED WINE SERVER

There are provided a cooler container, cold tray, and red wine server in which it is possible to adjust the temperature of an outer surface on the buffer layer side of the container to a temperature that differs from the melting point of a freezing material. The cooler container adjusts temperature of an object to be cooled that includes a beverage or food product, the cooler container having at least a region with a hollow structure, the cooler container including: a thermal storage layer in the region, the thermal storage layer containing a freezing material that changes phase at a specific temperature; and at least one buffer layer in the region, the at least one buffer layer being separated from the thermal storage layer in the region and containing an antifreeze material that is a fluid at a phase transition temperature of the freezing material. The provision of the at least one intervening buffer layer enables the temperature of the outer surface on the buffer layer side of the container to differ from the melting point of the freezing material.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THERMALLY PROTECTING AND/OR TRANSPORTING TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE PRODUCTS

Method and apparatus for thermally protecting a product, when storing and/or shipping a product, to control temperatures products are exposed to. Embodiments increase the amount of time portions of the product experience a desired temperature range and/or reduce the amount of time portions of the product experience temperatures outside a desired temperature range and/or experience an undesirable temperature range. Embodiments incorporate thermally conductive materials, referred to as conductive equalizers, positioned around and/or near the product positioned inside a packaging container, where the conductive materials conduct heat from locations in the package interior to other locations in the package interior. The conductive equalizers conductively transfer heat from hotter portions of the interior of the container to cooler portions of the interior of the container and/or from portions of the interior desired to be cooled to the cold bank, resulting in a more uniform temperature distribution around the product.

Method of packing a temperature sensitive product

A method of packing a temperature sensitive product utilizes a temperature controlled product shipper that includes a phase change material bladder which can be filled at the point of packaging. The temperature sensitive product is contained within an product box or master case, which is in turn packed inside an insulated liner and an outer box. The PCM bladder fits between the master case and the insulated liner and is filled with a preconditioned flowable PCM at the point of packing just before closing the box for shipment.

Embodiments of the subject invention relate to a method and apparatus for thermally protecting a product, such as when storing and/or shipping a product, so as to control the temperatures the products are exposed to. Embodiments can increased the amount of time the product and/or portions of the product experience a desired temperature range and/or reduce the amount of time the product and/or portions of the product experience temperatures outside of the desired temperature range and/or experience an undesirable temperature range. Embodiments can incorporate thermally conductive materials, such as aluminum sheets, positioned around and/or near the product positioned inside a packaging container, such that the conductive materials conduct heat from one or more locations in the interior of the package to one or more other locations in the interior of the package. These thermally conductive materials can be referred to as conductive equalizers. The conductive equalizers can conductively transfer heat from the hotter portions of the interior of the container to cooler portions of the interior of the container and/or from portions of the interior desired to be cooled to the cold bank. Conducting heat from hotter portions to cooler portions, or from portions to be cooled to the cold bank can result in a more uniform temperature distribution around the product.

Disclosed herein is an eco-friendly ice pack, which includes a water repellent material that maintains the shape of the ice pack and does not absorb a refrigerant, so that it can be easily separately discharged after use of the ice pack. In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of an eco-friendly ice pack including a refrigerant including a phase change material changing phase according to temperature, an outer case including the refrigerant and being formed by sealing in order to prevent the refrigerant from being discharged to the outside, and a water repellent supporter being disposed in the outer case, holding the shape of the ice pack to prevent the shape of the ice pack from being changed according to the shape of the refrigerant, and having water repellency to the refrigerant to avoid mixing with the refrigerant.

A PASSIVE TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORT AND STORAGE CONTAINERS

The present invention relates to the field of the transportation and storage of goods and to a passive temperature control system for such a transport and storage containers. The present invention seeks to provide a system that can enable goods to be securely and reliably transported and stored for limited periods within specified temperature ranges. Pharmaceuticals, proteins, biological samples and other temperature sensitive products, including food items, are regularly shipped in containers year round and are subjected to a wide range of temperatures. Though they are shipped in insulated containers and/or climate controlled environments, the temperature stability of the shipping containers can be significantly improved by utilising suitable phase change materials in an ordered fashion. The present invention provides a simple solution to the maintenance of temperature profiles for the transport and storage of temperature sensitive products.
