VACUUM INSULATED DOOR STRUCTURE FOR AN APPLIANCE INCORPORATING A DISPENSER STRUCTURE

A door panel for a refrigerating appliance includes an inner liner. An outer wrapper is attached to the inner liner and defines an insulating structure with an insulating cavity disposed therein. An insulating material is defined within the insulating cavity. A dispenser structure is defined within a central portion of the inner liner and the outer wrapper. The dispenser structure defines an insulated dispenser portion therein. A dispenser conduit extends from an interior area disposed above the dispenser structure to an external dispensing cavity and passing through the insulated dispenser portion.

REFRIGERATOR

A refrigerator of the present embodiment comprises: a cabinet provided with a storage space; a refrigerator door opening/closing the storage space; and a dispenser which is provided in the refrigerator door for dispensing water or ice, wherein the dispenser comprises: a dispenser housing forming a space; a protruding member protruding from the upper side wall of the dispenser housing toward the space; a lighting member which is arranged along the circumference of the protruding member; a lighting unit which includes a plurality of light-emitting units emitting light of different colors to the lighting member; and a controller which controls one of the plurality of light-emitting units so as to be turned on according to a mode.

A wine dispenser that includes a wine refrigerator unit having a compartment with a support to support a wine container, and a wine dispenser unit residing atop the wine refrigeration unit, the wine dispenser unit including a plurality of fountain heads, each one of the plurality of fountain heads being connected to a respective fluid-tight wine supply line that extends from the fountain head to an interior of the compartment.

Supplemental cooling system load control using random start of first defrost cycle

Methods, apparatus, and systems for load control for cooling systems are provided. Coolant flows through a plurality of cooling units in a cooling system. The coolant flow is halted for each cooling unit that is undergoing a defrost cycle. Each cooling unit is configured to start a first defrost cycle at a random time within a predetermined time range after the cooling unit is started or powered on. After the first random start defrost cycle, a regular periodic defrost cycle may be maintained. Thus, the cooling units may be powered on simultaneously while still providing desynchronized defrost cycles, enabling the cooling system to maintain adequate coolant flow and heat load to avoid deleterious stop and restart cycles.

VACUUM INSULATED DOOR CONSTRUCTION
20190293338 · 2019-09-26 · ·

A method of fabricating a refrigerator cabinet or door includes forming a wrapper and an inner liner. The method further includes forming a vacuum insulated core comprising a permeable core material that is disposed inside an impermeable envelope. A sheet of prefabricated compressible foam material is positioned between the vacuum insulated core between the inner door liner and/or the door wrapper. The prefabricated compressible foam material may be cut from a sheet of foam having substantially uniform thickness prior to fabrication of the refrigerator door. The foam compresses to accommodate differences in spacing between the vacuum insulated core and the door wrapper and/or the door liner.
