A method for the thermal treatment of bulk materials in a rotary tube with at least one infrared light unit. Bulk material is introduced into the rotary tube, which is provided on its inner wall with at least one mixing element and in the interior space of which the pressure of the ambient atmosphere prevails. A heat treatment of the bulk material is performed by at least one electrical infrared light unit, which is arranged at the center of the rotary tube and the light cone of which is directed onto the bed of bulk material that lies on the inner wall of the rotary tube. The bulk material is discharged from the rotary tube. Water vapor is directed onto the surface of the bulk material. The vapor is introduced into the interior space of the rotary tube through a nozzle tube.

A portable sand drying system comprising a plurality of wheeled operational units including a feed hopper, a dryer, and a screen, wherein the wheeled operational units are supported by at least two wheels while operating. One or more of the wheeled operational units include an automatic height adjuster which, when activated, automatically elevates a portion of the wheeled operational unit from a traveling height to an operating height. The plurality of wheeled operational units further includes a motor control center (MCC) to provide power and control signals to the various other wheeled operational units. Non-MCC wheeled operational units contain a pre-wired junction box, which the MCC would plug one or more cables directly into in order to provide one of power, control signals, and both power and control signals to the non-MCC wheeled operational units.

COANDA-EFFECT VEGETABLE MATERIAL DRYER
20210190423 · 2021-06-24 ·

A cylindrical drum having a plurality of vanes which extend radially into the drum and extend axially substantially the length of the drum rotates about its axis such that the plurality of vanes convey vegetable material from a lowest point in the interior of the drum to a highest point in the interior of the drum, there, to drop the vegetable matter downward within the interior of the drum. A plenum feeds air through a nozzle opening in a rectangular slot extending in its longest dimension substantially the length of the drum. The plenum and nozzle being housed to form a Coand{hacek over (a)}-effect nozzle body having a tear-shaped housing. Two Coand{hacek over (a)} surfaces are situated in opposed relation terminating at the nozzle. The Coand{hacek over (a)} surfaces to guide air into a combined flow. A hopper plate cooperates with the housing to form a hopper directing vegetable matter to collide with the combined flow.

Accelerated drying of soft capsules in a controlled environment

A method of drying soft capsules including steps of: a) supplying a flow of air to said soft capsules at a velocity of the air across the soft capsules of from about 0.15 m/s to about 13 m/s; b) increasing, over time, a drying temperature to which said soft capsules are exposed while ensuring that the drying temperature remains below a melting temperature of a capsule shell of the soft capsules; c) exposing said soft capsules to an initial relative humidity of from about 49% RH to about 79% RH; d) decreasing the relative humidity to which the soft capsules are exposed as the capsules dry until an equilibrium relative humidity of the soft capsules reaches a desired relative humidity; and e) exposing the soft capsules from step d) to a temperature of from 20-25° C. Also disclosed is a drying system for carrying out the method.

Tumbler systems and methods

A tumbler may be used as defluidizer, dryer, coater, classifier, or dynamic filter. The tumbler includes a rotatable drum that receives a solid/fluid slurry through an inlet chute. As the slurry travels through the drum, fluid exits the drum through a plurality of apertures in screens attached to the sides of the drum, while the solids continue along the drum's length until they reach one or more openings and exit the drum into an outlet chute. The outlet chute includes ridges that wrap around rings extending from the openings of the drum to prevent solids from escaping the outlet chute. To further dry the solids before they exit the drum, an air tube at least partially disposed within the drum is configured to introduce a flow of air into the drum.

Rotary dryer with multi-drying chambers

This invention relates to a rotary dryer with multi-drying chambers which is developed and improved for drying materials such as cassava chip, paddy, corn, various crops, longan, fertilizer, biomass and mining industry with better drying efficiency.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SLURRY PROCESSING

A multi-functional slurry processing system (“VARCOR”) and associated methods is disclosed. The present examples provide a multi-functional slurry processing system incorporating systems and methods for separating liquid and solid components in slurries. In particular the systems and methods described herein produce clean water, dried solids, and potential concentration of desirable constituents with a boiling point lower than water. At least one example of the multi-functional slurry processing system provides a self-contained processing facility configured to efficiently convert high water-content slurries into its constituent solid and liquid fractions and subsequently generating and collecting clean water and concentrating desirable constituents with a boiling point lower than water. The multi-functional slurry processing system advantageously applies thermodynamic principles in a system which may include various combinations of a preheater, a degassing unit, a dryer, a steam filter, a compressor, a concentrating tower, and a condensation unit.

Method for determining a temperature of a revolving part and laundry dryer

In a method for determining a temperature of a revolving drum of a laundry dryer, said drum has an outer wall and thereon at least one strip-shaped delimited detection region comprising thermochromic material having a transition temperature in the range of a temperature that is to be expected and to be determined. Optical detection means arranged adjacent to the revolving part are configured, in particular as a reflected light barrier, to detect the color transition of the thermochromic material in the event of the transition temperature being exceeded or undershot. At the revolving drum the thermochromic material or, if appropriate, the color transition thereof is detected by means of the detection means. A temperature of the drum is then determined as corresponding to the transition temperature in such a way that the temperature thereof is determined as corresponding to one of the two temperature ranges below the transition temperature or above the transition temperature.
