Air bar arrangement for drying tissue on a belt
10401085 · 2019-09-03 · ·

Apparatus and methods particularly suited for drying tissue grade paper. In certain embodiments, a wet web, such as a web exiting a tissue manufacturing machine, is transferred to an air floatation dryer with specially arranged air bars and impingement nozzles described herein where the wet web is dried while still at least partly supported by an air-permeable belt. In certain embodiments, the specially arranged air floatation dryer comprises one or more air floatation dryer units through which the wet web is conveyed by way of a supporting endless loop or belt of air-permeable construction. The air bars and opposing impingement nozzles are so arranged as to force the web into contact with the belt and then subsequently lift the web from the belt surface in a repetitive and alternating fashion as the web and belt travel through the dryer.

Conveying device and printing apparatus

A conveying device includes a blower and a conveyor. The blower blows air to a sheet material. The conveyor conveys the sheet material through a blowing region of the blower. The conveyor includes a surface movable member and a presser. The surface movable member conveys the sheet material with movement of a surface of the surface movable member, with a back side of the sheet material supported with the surface movable member. The presser presses at least a portion of a leading end of the sheet material toward the surface movable member in at least an area from a position upstream from the blowing region in a conveyance direction of the sheet material to a position in the blowing region of the blower.

A device for laying down filaments (3) into a spundbond fabric (8), dehumidifying the spundbond fabric (8) and sucking off the process air loaded with solvents and coagulants, including a conveyor device (7) for transporting the spundbond fabric (8) in a transport direction, wherein the conveyor device (7) has a deposition surface (6) for the filament (3), wherein the conveyor device (7) at least in the region of the deposition surface (6) is permeable for gases and liquids, wherein underneath the deposition surface (6) of the conveyor device (7) there is provided a primary dehumidifying device (9), wherein there is arranged at least one upper suction device (10, 11) upstream and/or downstream and/or laterally of the deposition surface (6).

Printer and dryer for drying images on coated substrates in aqueous ink printers

An aqueous ink printer includes a dryer that enables coated substrates printed with aqueous ink images to be adequately dried before discharge of the substrates. The dryer is configured to hang the substrates vertically without the substrates touching one another as heat is applied to the substrates within the dryer to reduce the footprint of the dryer and increase the exposure time of the substrates to heat produced by the dryer.

Method for baking a continuous mat of mineral or plant fibers

A method for baking a continuous mat of mineral or plant fibers successively includes application of an aqueous solution, containing a binder diluted in the solution, onto mineral or plant fibers, shaping of the fibers to form a continuous mat on a conveyor in motion, and heating the mat in movement through an oven by a hot air flow at a temperature higher than the curing temperature of the binder. Furthermore, at least partial drying of the mat is carried out before entry into the oven. The at least partial drying includes irradiation of the mat in movement with radiofrequency electromagnetic waves whose frequency lies between 3 MHz and 300 GHz.

Multiple Belt and Multiple Zone Textile Dryer
20180073805 · 2018-03-15 ·

The present invention provides a textile dryer having a housing defining a chamber having an infeed and an outfeed. A separation wall extends through the chamber to create a first zone having a first ambient condition and a second zone having a second ambient condition. A first conveyor extends through the first zone and a second conveyor extends through the second zone. A controller is provided to allow an operator to independently select the speed and direction of the first conveyor and the second conveyor, and to independently select the physical conditions of the first ambient condition and the second ambient condition, and to maintain these settings during the operation of the dryer.

Oven provided with a measurement system inside the fibrous mat

An oven for heating a fibrous mat includes a first conveyor for conveying the mat in a forward direction, and a measurement system inside the mat, including a sensor mounted on the first conveyor and adapted to move, in a transverse direction of the mat, between a first retracted position inside the conveyor and a measurement position inside the mat under the effect of an activation system, the measurement system being such that the sensor is connected by a mechanical transmission system to a finger projecting on a lateral side of the first conveyor, and the activation system includes at least one contact surface located facing the lateral side of the conveyor and adapted to engage with the finger, when it moves in the forward direction in order to move the sensor from its retracted position to its measurement position by the mechanical transmission system.
