Sludge drying apparatus

A sludge drying apparatus includes a waste fluid bath for storing a waste fluid containing a sludge, an extracting unit for extracting the sludge from the waste fluid stored in the waste fluid bath, a transfer belt for transferring the sludge extracted by the extracting unit, a drying unit for drying the sludge to be transferred by the transfer belt, and a recovering unit for recovering the sludge transferred by the transfer belt and dried by the drying unit. The recovering unit includes a roll brush provided adjacent to the air outlet so as to horizontally extend in the direction perpendicular to the direction of extension of the transfer belt, and a recovery box for recovering the sludge separated from the transfer belt by the roll brush.

The invention is about a drying system to be applied on the central drum of a flexographic machine. The dryer is made of two concentric cylinders: the outer one having a slotor several slots with different thicknessesthe inner one having a slot with a trapezoid shape. By adjusting the relative position of the trapeze and the outer slot sets the effective size of the vent, which determines the air flow coming out of the dryer. This results in a simple and reliable way of configuring the drying of the print.

Provided are a method of manufacturing an electrode for a secondary battery which can properly maintain the temperature of a hot gas while requiring a smaller amount of hot gas, and a hot-gas drying furnace used for the method. A control device calculates an amount of decrease in temperature of a hot gas at a blowing position of a nozzle (first position) based on a temperature of the hot gas at second position situated downstream of the first position and a temperature of the hot gas at third position situated downstream of the second position. The control device adds the amount to a set temperature of the hot gas at the first position to calculate a modified set temperature. The control device adjusts an output of a heater depending on a difference between the modified set temperature and the temperature at the first position.

An apparatus comprises a dryer to force air onto a printed media during use to dry the printed media, and an air collector comprising at least one suction opening throughout which, in use, air from the dryer is collected. The apparatus may guide the collected air back to the dryer. The at least one suction opening may be arranged so as to stop the printed media from rising due to pressure differential.

The conveying unit conveys a medium to which a liquid is discharged from a discharging head. The hot air blowing unit includes a blowing unit that blows air, and a heating unit that heats air. The passage forming unit forms, between the hot air blowing unit and a region on a conveying unit conveyance path, a circulation path through which air blown from the hot air blowing unit is circulated. The adjusting unit adjusts a ratio between inside air circulating through the circulation path and outside air that is introduced into the circulation path. If a temperature increase condition is established, the adjusting unit increases a ratio of the inside air. If a temperature decrease condition is established, the adjusting unit increases a ratio of the outside air.
