Apparatus and methods for drying materials
A method for drying materials is disclosed. The method comprises introducing a material into a dryer chamber, creating steam from vaporizing moisture in the material by maintaining the chamber at a temperature, conditioning the material using the steam created from vaporing moisture in the material by conveying the material along a length of the chamber from an inlet end to an outlet end, exhausting steam near the inlet end of the chamber, exhausting steam near a dry-end exit end of the chamber, controlling a migration of moisture between the inlet and outlet ends by adjusting an exhaust flow rate near the inlet end of the chamber and/or an exhaust flow rate near the dry-end exit end of the chamber, and withdrawing the material from the chamber.

ELECTRODE DRYING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH WATER SUPPLY PART, AND METHOD FOR DRYING ELECTRODE USING SAME
Provided is an electrode drying apparatus including a moisture supply unit capable of setting the internal temperature of a drying oven to a reference value, which is a level at which the drying of an electrode to be dried is stabilized, before an electrode drying process using hot air is started, thereby preventing the electrode from being fractured by over-drying at the early stage of drying the electrode in the drying oven, and an electrode drying method using the same.

Process for optimization of cure settings in the printing of images on transparent and semi-transparent media
A process is disclosed to precisely control the total amount of UV energy applied to images printed onto the exterior of a 3D object, such as a container like a wine bottle. The process includes establishing a UV dosage energy value to optimally cure an applied layer of ink expressed via an inkjet printing head onto the surface of the object, doing a partial cure of a printed ink layer, using a formula to calculate a power scale factor for the printed 3D object, and then based on the power scale factor tailoring a final cure step by controlling the amount of UV energy applied to the object to obtain an optimum cure result on the 3D object. The process allows for the control of a number of variables in the printing system to consistently apply an optimal amount of UV energy to the printed images.
Drying device for display panel
A drying device is configured with a sensor corresponding to an air knife-nozzle, and a control switch which suspends an operation of the device when the air knife-nozzle is detected as working abnormally, thereby preventing abnormal products from being produced due to the failure of finding an abnormal condition of the air knife-nozzle in time, ensuring the normal process of the product, and avoiding the nonessential economic loss.
VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND RECOVERY DEVICE AND RECOVERY METHOD
A recovery device for a volatile organic compound is a device for recovering the volatile organic compound in a coating drying oven which dries a coating film of a workpiece coated with a water-soluble coating. The coating drying oven includes: an evaporation zone in which moisture of the workpiece is evaporated; and a curing zone to cure the coating film. The recovery device includes: a first take-out passage for taking out first furnace air in the evaporation zone; a second take-out passage for taking out second furnace air in the curing zone; a mixing chamber configured to mix the first furnace air and the second furnace air to obtain mixed air; and a cooling recovery unit configured to cool the mixed air and recover, as a condensate, the volatile organic compound contained in the mixed air, together with the moisture.
Heat energy distribution in a continuous dry kiln
A kiln for drying and processing lumber packages is provided. The kiln generally includes at least one end chamber, a drying chamber adjacent to the end chamber, a first lumber conveying line configured to transport the lumber packages in a first direction through the end chamber and the drying chamber, and a second lumber conveying line configured to transport the lumber packages in a second direction through the end chamber and the drying chamber. The conveying lines may be countercurrent or uniflow. The kiln may further include a heat distributor in the end chamber to distribute heat into the end chamber in addition to heat from the drying chamber along the first and second lumber conveying lines. The heat distributor may include a distribution duct receiving heat from a drying chamber distribution duct or a heater inlet duct, a heat exchanger, a radiative heating element, or a combination thereof.
