Method for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips
A method for drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, wherein the bulk goods is continuously dried in a dryer (1), in particular a drum dryer. The vapor-gas mixture flows through the drum dryer (1) in a dryer circuit and is indirectly heated via at least one heat exchanger (4) by a burner waste gas that is heated in at least one burner (5). The drying vapors are supplied to the at least one heat exchanger (4). Upstream, downstream and/or within the at least one heat exchanger (4), at least a partial flow of the drying vapors are branched off to be conducted into the burner (5). The remaining partial flow is conducted to the dryer (1) again. The partial flow of drying vapors to the burner (5) is driven by at least one regulable partial vapor fan (10).
System having a process chamber for workpieces
An installation has a process chamber defining an inner space having a tunnel-like form defining a receiving region for workpieces. The process chamber has a portal for the supply or discharge of workpieces and has a device for introducing gaseous fluid into the inner space. The device has a nozzle for producing a fluid stream curtain between the portal and the receiving region. A device supplies fresh air introduced into the receiving region at a side of the fluid stream curtain facing away from the portal. The installation has a pivotable guide contour projecting into the inner space and the nozzle or aperture is in the form of a slot which supplies the gaseous fluid to the inner space via the ceiling with a flow direction oblique relative to the floor. The gaseous fluid supplied via the nozzle to the inner space is guided on the guide contour.
Three stage single pass drying apparatus for particulate materials
A single pass, multiple stage, rotary drum heat exchange dryer (22) is provided for drying products such as distillers grains and includes a tubular shell (64) with a moist product inlet (66), an opposed dried product outlet (70), and an internal drying chamber (78). The chamber (78) includes a convection drying first stage (80), and conductive drying final curing stage (82) an intermediate stage (84); the intermediate stage (84) is subdivided into a plurality of contiguous drying zones (86-92). The zones (86-92) include individual flighting assemblies (164) which are of substantially the same density and heat transfer ratios.
