The present disclosure relates to building blocks for a toy building set. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a building block configured to releasably join another building block of a similar construction. The building block comprises a hollow main body which defines a lower surface, an upper surface and walls joining the lower and the upper surfaces. At least one of the walls comprises a first wall section and a second wall section parallel to and distant from the first wall section. The building block further comprises spaced apart projections that extend from the upper surface and spaced apart recess sections disposed within the hollow main body. When two building blocks are releasably connected together, a longitudinal groove is provided between the second wall section of the lower building block and the hollow main body of the upper building block when the blocks are fully connected one to another.

Each inflatable member is a polyhedron having a three-dimensional shape and flat polygonal faces with a first fastener disposed along a perimeter and a second fastener disposed on an exterior surface, such that each inflatable member is designed to removably secure to one another. In this way, a user is able to self-assemble a customizable play structure.

A building block system may include different types of blocks. One type of block may include male and female attachment points. The male and female attachment points may have complementary shapes and sizes to enable easy interconnection. The blocks may be manufactured from a foam material, such that when male and female attachment points of different blocks are joined, a connection suitable for a degree of structural integrity is attained. A cavity may be formed in the center of each block for the placement of coins, pebbles, or other objects to add weight to the overall assembly. The building block system may also include cap pieces, in which a pair of cap pieces may be inserted into female attachment point(s) on a block, and a graphic card made of a thin material, such as cardstock, may be inserted therein.

A method for building large-scale play structures having an ideal modularity is provided. The method includes providing panels having a thickness, a planar-quadrangle shape including a length, a width and four chamfered edges with a set of holes located along each edge, the holes located at a fixed interval relative to one another, the fixed interval providing a unit of length, a fixed-location fastening element located in each of the holes, respectively; providing a plurality of movable fastening elements each including a hand-grip to allow the respective movable fastening element to be moved between an unsecured position and a secured position without the use of tools when received by any one of the plurality of fixed-location fastening elements; and employing the fasteners to secure a plurality of the panels to one another to provide a structure that has an overall height, an overall length and an overall width, the structure including at least a pair of panels oriented one above the other and at least a pair of panels located at the same elevation and secured at right angles to one another.

Since flip-top trash cans come in many sizes and shapes (square, rectangular round, oval, etc.), the spacer device may be able to accommodate any and all such cans.

The clip may include a magnet enclosed within the base so that the base of a first clip may be magnetically coupled to the base of another clip, and each clip may in turn be frictionally coupled to a block received between the extensions of the respective clip. In one embodiment, the clip includes a plurality of channels.
