Mobile agents for manipulating, moving, and/or reorienting components

Mobile agents automatically manipulate components such as blocks on a working surface, to perform operations such as construction of generalized structures. The working surface and/or the components can have machine-readable codes to assist the agents in maintaining current knowledge of their respective locations. Agents identify components by type and location, and can move components according to directions; such directions can be provided by a user, or can be based on a pre-programmed directive, or can be determined dynamically based on current conditions or in response to actions of other agents. Agents may cooperate with one another. Agents can also respond to changes in the environment, alterations in works in progress, and/or other conditions, and may be configured to exhibit responses simulating emotional reactions. Different mobile agents can be associated with different character traits, which may be configured to change based on environmental conditions and/or the behavior of other mobile agents.

Connector element includes an enclosure made of a generally non-magnetic material having an open face; an insulating plate with a plate aperture; a permanent magnet placed inside the enclosure, the magnet dimensions preventing egress from the enclosure through the plate aperture; a washer made of a conductive soft ferromagnetic material with a washer aperture being larger than dimensions of said permanent magnet, placed inside the enclosure. Also disclosed are transformable electronic devices, optionally including displays, toys and educational kits built using the self-actuating connector elements.

BUILDING BLOCK
20210101086 · 2021-04-08 · ·

The present invention discloses a polyhedral block with a plurality of intermittently magnetic sides. The magnetic intermittency is caused by a freely movable magnet that resides in and traverses in an inner cavity, exerting its pull-force through the side of the block to which it is nearest. The cavity is shaped to facilitate magnet movement in response to encountering an external magnetically attractable surface. As a user rotates the block on a magnetically attractable surface, the contained magnet is caused to move within its cavity, ultimately resting in a user-selected position on the magnetically attractable surface. The block contains one or more non-magnetic connection elements on its sides. These non-magnetic connection elements serve to connect the block with compatible, non-magnetic blocks and other objects.

BUILDING BLOCK AND TRACK BUILDING BLOCK TOY

This utility model discloses a building block and track building block toy including four of single components and eight of magnetic spheres; each one of single components comprises a first connecting rod, a second connecting rod and a third connecting rod; the first connecting rod, the second connecting rod, and the third connecting rod are sequentially connected to form a “custom-character” shape; a first insertion portion is disposed on an end of the first connecting rod, and another one of first insertion portion is disposed on an end of the third connecting rod; second insertion portions extend vertically at both ends of the second connecting rod; each of the second insertion portions is provided with one of inserting holes. A plurality of the building blocks are able to be adsorbed together by magnetic spheres and assembled into various shapes.

ACTIVITY BOX

An activity box includes two pairs of wheels having blind holes, two axles having two ends releasably insertable into the blind holes, and a box defining a space having a defined volume sufficiently large to fit the axles. The wheels include a first magnetically attractable component. The axles include a second magnetically attractable component secured at each end of each axle. The axles have a length spanning a width of the box, which has two pairs of through holes on two opposing sides to accommodate the axles, such that the axles are threaded through the through holes. The two pairs of wheels are rotatably attached to the box by magnetically coupling the first magnetically attractable component to the second magnetically attractable component, such that the activity box is configured to be used as a cart that can be rolled over a surface.

A geometric art toy (10) comprises a plurality of first toy members (312A) and a plurality of second toy members (312B). Each first toy member (312A) includes a plurality of first magnets (314A) that are oriented to exhibit a first polarity. Each second toy member (312B) includes a plurality of second magnets (314B) that are oriented to exhibit a second polarity that is substantially opposite to the first polarity. Each first toy member (312A) is movably coupled to another first toy member (312A) and one of the plurality of second toy members (312B). Each of the first toy members (312A) and the second toy members (312B) are formed in a shape of a tetrahedron. The first magnets (314A) and the second magnets (314B) enable the geometric art toy (10) to be alternatively and stably positioned in a first configuration and a second configuration that is different than the first configuration.

Magnetic building tiles
10918963 · 2021-02-16 · ·

A building system includes a plurality of building tiles and/or connectors that are magnetically and releasably connectable to one another. The magnetic building tiles are comprised of a tile frame and a tile panel. The tile frame, by one approach, is comprised of two connectable frame portions or elements having magnets embedded therein. The first and second frame elements are connectable to one another through a snap, clip, or another similar connection mechanism. The first and second frame elements are connectable around or into the tile panel, which is removable from the magnetic building tile. The tile panel or the tile frame has a channel into which the other of the tile panel or tile frame extends to secure the two pieces together. In another approach, the tile frame is a single element and the tile panel may snap or attach thereto, such as, for example, through fasteners or friction.
