To provide a method with which it is possible to ascertain a gas concentration in a furnace rapidly, and to charge an amount of fuel and/or oxygen corresponding to the state within the furnace, and with which it is possible to reduce the device maintenance load. In order to solve the abovementioned problem, this method for analyzing components contained in flue exhaust gas of a furnace includes: a sampling step of collecting a portion of the flue exhaust gas from a flue; a dust removal step of using a centrifugal dust collecting device to separate out dust in the flue exhaust gas collected in the sampling step, to yield an analysis gas; a measuring step of measuring components in the analysis gas to obtain the concentration of carbon monoxide in the analysis gas; and an analysis gas discharging step of causing the analysis gas to be sucked by an ejector.

METHOD OF DETECTING CRACK PROPAGATION IN WALL OF A METALLURGICAL FURNACE AND A DETECTION UNIT

The present disclosure relates to a method of detecting crack propagation in a wall of a metallurgical furnace by a detection unit. The detection unit is configured to extract one or more dominant frequency parameters from the corresponding reflected stress signal, and analysing, a phase from each dominant frequency parameters. The analysing of the phase comprises determines, one or more coefficients for each dominant frequency parameters. The detection unit then identifies, a dominant phase based on the corresponding one or more coefficients and selects a frequency relevant to a thickness parameter based on the dominant phase. The crack propagation in the wall of the metallurgical furnace is then detected based on the frequency relevant to the thickness parameter at each of the one or more locations. The present disclosure provides an accurate method for determining condition of refractory lining by elimination unwanted noise signals.

TILTABLE EXCHANGEABLE METALLURGICAL VESSEL AND METHOD FOR FIXING AND RELEASING A TILTABLE METALLURGICAL VESSEL

The invention relates to the subject area of metallurgical systems, in particular a metallurgical vessel which is fixed on a support ring. The object of the invention is to provide a metallurgical vessel having a support ring and a method for fixing and releasing, which prevents constraint forces. The tiltable metallurgical vessel having a round cross-section is at least partially surrounded by a support ring. The support ring is at a distance from the metallurgical vessel in the radial direction. The metallurgical vessel has at least three brackets, each having a respective pin. The support ring has at least three receiving openings which receive the pins. These receiving openings permit a shifting of the pin in the radial direction. The pins are secured against falling out of the receiving opening and the bracket by at least three locking devices floatingly mounted and arranged inside the support ring.

A system used in monitoring one or more operating parameters of a coolant-fluid cooled industrial installation includes one or more an acoustic sensors positioned to receive and sense one or more acoustic signals in an installation coolant-fluid flow. The acoustic sensor assembly operates to emit and sense acoustic signals at frequency ranges above and/or below the background noise frequency ranges which are associated with the normal industrial installation operation. Output data signals representative of sensed acoustic signals are compared to target frequency profiles predetermined as representing an acoustic frequency associated with a predetermined installation operating parameter or event.

Predictive refractory performance measurement system

A measurement system is provided for predicting a future status of a refractory lining that is lined over an inner surface of an outer wall of a metallurgical vessel and exposed to a heat during which the refractory lining is exposed to molten metal. The system includes one or more laser scanners and a processor. The laser scanners are configured to conduct a plurality of laser scans of the refractory lining when the metallurgical vessel is empty. At least one of the laser scanners is configured to laser scan the refractory lining prior to the heat to collect data related to pre-heat structural conditions of the refractory lining. At least one of the laser scanners is configured to laser scan the refractory lining after the heat to collect data related to post-heat structural conditions of the refractory lining. The processor is configured to predict the future status of the lining.

SENSING AND CONTROL OF POSITION OF AN ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE

Sensors measure magnetic field components, and the measured fields are used to calculate and estimated transverse position of a longitudinal electric current flowing as an electric discharge across a discharge gap. Based on the estimated position, and according to a selected transverse trajectory or distribution of the estimated discharge position, magnetic fields are applied transversely across the discharge gap so as to control or alter the estimated discharge position. Inventive apparatus and methods can be employed, inter alia, during operation of a vacuum arc furnace.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GRAPHITE ELECTRODE IDENTIFICATION AND MONITORING

A system and method is disclosed for monitoring graphite electrodes for use in an electric arc furnace includes receiving an electrode identifiers from a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag reader configured to interrogate RFID tags in the vicinity of an electric arc furnace (EAF), wherein the RFID tags are attached to electrodes. The electrode identifier is associated with EAF data collected from the EAF and the association is stored in a memory. The association is used for generating current and past operating parameters of the electric arc furnace for specific electrodes. Data for each specific electrode used in the EAF can also be collected for determining performance parameters for specific electrodes.
