DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING WITH HIGH-FREQUENCY ACOUSTIC WAVES
A device for treatment by high frequency sound waves that has at least one enclosure and at least one ultrasound transducer and methods for cleaning foodstuffs in the device. The waves produced by the ultrasound transducer in the enclosure filled with a cleaning liquid have a frequency greater than 100 kHz, preferably greater than 200 kHz.
EFFECTIVE FOAM CONTROL ON PROCESS BEET WASHING WATER BY AUTOMATIC APPLICATION OF ANITFOAM UPON A SET POINT OF AIR CONTENT MEASURED BY SONAR TECHNOLOGY
A beet washing system features a defoamer dosage controller having a signal processor configured to receive signaling containing information about a volumetric percent of entrained air in a process water used for washing beets; and determine corresponding signaling containing information to control a dosage of defoamer provided to the process water to regulate the amount of foam in the process water used for washing the beets.
Automated food preparation and dispensing
The disclosed technology includes a food system that prepares food based on a user's preferences and environment (e.g., health and diet, tastes, availability of food, costs, location, and what is stored or available for the food preparation system). The food system can store, cool, serve, prepare, juice, recognize with an antenna array, cut, weigh, sanitize, or compost food. The food system can include a robotic arm or water jet for cutting a food item. The disclosed technology improves food consumption for users based on diet and observed behavior (e.g., tracking caloric intake and exercise).

Apparatus for cleaning items from a conveying apparatus
A roller brush bed and a fluid delivery system are provided. The fluid deliver system includes a fluid source, a fluid supply tube connected to the fluid source, a movable fluid delivery bar in fluid communication with the fluid supply tube and a drive system attached to the movable fluid delivery bar and configured to move the movable fluid delivery bar relative to the at least one roller brush and along the roller brush bed, wherein the movable fluid delivery bar is configured to spray fluid toward the at least one roller brush as the movable fluid delivery bar is moved along the roller brush bed.
SHORT-TERM WASH TREATMENT OF PRODUCE
A produce wash system is provided. The produce wash system includes a produce line including a short-term wash device and a rinse transition component followed by a wash device, a short-term wash treatment that is applied by the short-term wash device to a product, wherein the short-term wash treatment remains on the product for a pretreatment time that lasts until the short-term wash treatment is rinsed off, and a rinse solution applied by the rinse transition component that rinses the product after the product leaves the short-term wash device and before the product enters the wash device, and a wash treatment that is applied by the wash device to the product, wherein the wash treatment rinses any remaining short-term wash treatment from the product. The pretreatment time is set at or below a damage threshold time beyond which the short-term wash treatment damages the product beyond a damage threshold.

IN-LINE SENSOR VALIDATION SYSTEM
Disclosed is a food wash sensor system that includes a sensor disposed along a fluid flow path that can circulate a wash fluid through the food wash sensor system. The sensor can detect a concentration of an analyte in the wash fluid. The system also includes a reference fluid reservoir including a reference fluid, the reference fluid including a predetermined concentration of the analyte in solution, a delivery system fluidly coupled to the fluid flow path and operable to supply the reference fluid to the fluid flow path upstream from the sensor while maintaining the sensor in place along the fluid flow path, and a control and monitoring system configured to receive a signal from the sensor, the signal indicating the concentration of the analyte in the reference fluid at a first time, and control calibrating the sensor and validating the sensor over time based on the received signal.
