SANITARY FOOD WASHING STAGE IN FOOD PRODUCTION
Methods and systems are described for providing improved food processing systems by treating wash water in a wash stage of the food processing system with a biocide. Sufficient biocide may be added to significantly reduce the levels of bacteria in the wash stage, which can prevent problems associated with bacteria in downstream processes.

Short-term wash treatment of produce
A method of washing a food product with a short-term, intense treatment solution. One example method generally includes: applying, using a short-term wash device, a short-term wash treatment solution to the food product; and applying, using a wash device coupled to the short-term wash device, a wash treatment to the food product such that the wash treatment rinses the short-term wash treatment solution from the food product, wherein: the short-term wash treatment solution is applied to the food product for a shorter duration than the wash treatment is applied to the food product; the short-term wash treatment solution is chemically different from the wash treatment; and the short-term wash treatment solution comprises an acidulant and a polyol.

Utility cleaner
A utility cleaner for cleaning a variety of items is disclosed whereby a user can clean a variety of items without having to provide any constant “hands-on” monitoring or actions. A user can hook-up a water supply to the cleaner and allow the cleaner to automatically clean from the force of the supplied liquid and simply visually monitoring the liquid flow out of the cleaner.
AUTOMATIC ALL-IN-ONE MACHINE FOR CLEARING, PEELING, AND CLEANING YAM
Provided is an automatic all-in-one machine for clearing, peeling, and cleaning yams, including: a rack; a two-end removing mechanism arranged on the rack; a conveying mechanism arranged on the rack and arranged in coordination with a storage box of the two-end removing mechanism; a feeding mechanism arranged on the rack, an input end of the feeding mechanism being coordinated with and connected to an output end of the two-end removing mechanism; a peeling and cleaning mechanism arranged on the rack, the peeling and cleaning mechanism being arranged in coordination with and adjacent to the feeding mechanism; and a controller connected to the two-end removing mechanism, the conveying mechanism, the feeding mechanism, and the peeling and cleaning mechanism respectively. Through the technical solution of the present invention, yams with different thicknesses and lengths can be automatically removed at both ends, peeled, and cleaned, which reduces waste and makes peeled cleaning cleaner.
HIGH-BIOACTIVITY BLACK DRY APPLE CHIP AND PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY THEREOF
The disclosure relates to a high-bioactivity black dry apple chip and a processing technology thereof. The processing process is as follows: fresh fruits.fwdarw.sorting.fwdarw.peeling.fwdarw.slicing.fwdarw.fermenting.fwdarw.drying.fwdarw.packaging.fwdarw.black dry apple chips. According to the disclosure, a high-temperature Bacillus subtilis fermentation broth atomization spray technology is adopted to atomize the processed apple slices under the condition of 60° C.-80° C., the cut apple slices are irradiated with 60 Coy rays at a dose of 4 kGy to promote carbonyl ammonia reaction so as to make apple slices generate burnt black. According to the disclosure, Bacillus subtilis antimicrobial peptide solution is sprayed so as to utilize its bacteriostatic function to avoid pathogen infection during shelf life.
Conservation system and method for cleaning produce through mist immersion in an atomized aqueous medium
A conservation system and method for cleaning produce through mist immersion in an atomized aqueous medium. The system and method provides a tank for receiving the produce to soak and rinse an aqueous cleaning medium, so as to remove and dissolve residues and contaminants from rough or smooth surfaces of the produce. While cleaning the produce, the system and method is effective for conservation of water, liquids or other mediums, by not fully soaking the produce in a medium, but rather by uniformly immersing the produce in tiny droplets of atomized aqueous medium for a predetermined duration. After this droplet immersion, the produce is then rinsed and ready for consumption. The tank provides an air nozzle for aerating aqueous medium and an ultrasonic device for atomizing aqueous medium between 1 μm and 15 μm. The produce is supported on a basket while being soaked in the aerated and atomized aqueous medium.
Conveyor system and related methods of processing food
A conveyor system and related methods of operation for using two or more conveyors to treat at least two separate sides of food items with a chemical intervention solution. The conveyor system can include two or more conveyors arranged in an angled relationship relative to a horizontal plane such that a first side of a food material is presented on a first conveyor and a second side of the food material is presented on a second conveyor. A chemical intervention system including two or more spray assemblies can apply a suitable chemical intervention solution to the first and second sides of food. The two or more conveyors can be arranged at an angle from 20-45 degrees relative to a common horizontal plane.
PORTABLE SENSOR VALIDATION SYSTEM
A food wash reference fluid delivery apparatus includes a portable reference fluid reservoir comprising an inlet and an outlet and configured to store a reference fluid that includes a predetermined concentration of an analyte, a pump fluidly coupled to the outlet of the portable reference fluid reservoir and configured to pump the reference fluid from the outlet of the portable reference fluid reservoir, a sensor connector configured to fluidly couple with a sensor positioned along a fluid flow path of the food wash system, a sensor fluid line configured to provide the reference fluid from the pump to the sensor connector, an inlet fluid line configured to provide the reference fluid from the pump to the inlet of the portable reference fluid reservoir, and a valve configured to adjustably control a fluid flow rate of the reference fluid through the sensor fluid line and the inlet fluid line.
