An apparatus, a process and a system for treating petroleum coke are provided. The apparatus includes an activation unit that is an annular furnace reactor. The system includes a first reactor, the apparatus as a second reactor, a washing and separating unit, a cooling unit, a dissolving and separating unit, a washing and drying unit, optionally a regenerating unit, optionally a drying and calcining unit and optionally an evaporation-crystallization unit. The process for producing carbon materials uses the system for treating petroleum coke. The apparatus, the process and the system can achieve continuous production, and have advantages of high activation efficiency and stable properties of the resultant carbon material products.

A method for treating a metal strip, where the metal strip undergoes heat treatment in a directly fired furnace and is subsequently heat-treated further in a radiant tube furnace. At least part of the exhaust gases from the radiant tubes is fed to the directly fired furnace.

Induration machine

An induration machine includes a travelling grate for transporting bulk material along a transport direction from a heating zone for heating and/or drying the material to a cooling zone for cooling the material by cooling gas. The machine includes a hood disposed over the travelling grate having a first hood section in the heating zone and a second hood section in the cooling zone; and two recuperation ducts for guiding used cooling gas from the second hood section to the first hood section. The recuperation ducts are disposed on opposite sides of the hood, are laterally offset with respect to the hood, and are connected to the second hood section by a V-shaped gas collector duct. Each recuperation duct is connected to the first hood section by at least one gas supply duct and has at least one dust purge opening disposed in the lowermost part of the recuperation duct for purging dust from the recuperation duct.

A continuous annealing apparatus includes: a pre-treatment device to prepare a strip unwound from a coil; a heating device to heat the strip prepared by the pre-treatment device; a heat holding device to isothermally maintain the strip heated by the heating device; a first cooling device to cool the strip heat-maintained by the heat holding device; an annealing device including a first annealing device for annealing the strip, which, is cooled by the first cooling device, for a first time, and a second annealing device for winding the strip, which is cooled by the first cooling device, into a coil and then unwinding the coil into the strip again after annealing for a second time; a second cooling device to cool the strip annealed by the first annealing device or the second annealing device; and a post-treatment device to wind the strip cooled by the second cooling device into the coil.

A device for drying and sintering metal-containing ink on a substrate enables homogeneous irradiation of the substrate, has compact construction, and is simple and economical to produce. Optical infrared radiators have a cylindrical radiator tube and a longitudinal axis, and emit radiation having an IR-B radiation component of at least 30% and an IR-C radiation component of at least 5% of total radiator output power. The radiators are arranged in a module with their longitudinal axes running parallel to each other and transverse to the transport direction. They thereby irradiate on the surface of the substrate an irradiation field, which is divided into a drying zone and a sintering zone arranged downstream of the drying zone in the transport direction. The drying zone is exposed to at least 15% less average irradiation density than the sintering zone along a center axis running in the transport direction.

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for impressing a temperature profile onto a sheet steel component, wherein in one or more first areas, a temperature below the AC3 temperature can be impressed on the sheet steel component, and in one or more second areas, a temperature above the AC3 temperature can be impressed on the sheet steel component, and is characterized in that the sheet steel component is firstly preheated in a production furnace, and is then transferred into the thermal re-treatment station, wherein a radiation heat source is moved over the component in the thermal re-treatment station, by means of which the one or more first areas of the sheet steel component can be kept at a temperature below the AC3 temperature or cooled down further, and the one or more second areas can be heated to or kept at a temperature above the AC3 temperature.

In the method of producing a martensitic stainless steel strip, a quenching furnace of a quenching process includes at least a temperature raising unit and a holding unit. When a predetermined quenching temperature is set as T ( C.), the temperature raising unit is set to be within a temperature range of 0.7T ( C.) or higher and lower than T ( C.), and a set heating temperature on an exit side of the steel strip is set to be higher than a set heating temperature on an entry side of the steel strip when the steel strip passes through the temperature raising unit. The holding unit is set to the quenching temperature T ( C.). A time spent in the furnace by the steel strip in the temperature raising unit is equal to or longer than a time spent in the furnace by the steel strip in the holding unit.

Kiln system and method for firing ceramsite and by-producing waste heat by utilizing raw materials with heating values

A kiln system is provided, including a drying section, a preheating section, a firing section, a soaking section, a cooling section, and a decarburization section arranged between the drying section and the preheating section. The decarburization section includes an ignition zone, a hot air combustion/pyrolysis zone, and a waste heat recovery pipeline. A heat source is introduced into the ignition zone so that the temperature of the ceramsite of the raw materials with heating values in the zone is 400 C. to 900 C. The hot air combustion/pyrolysis zone is configured for combusting or pyrolyzing carbon-containing materials and organic components in the raw materials with heating values in the ceramsite. The waste heat recovery pipeline is configured for discharging decarburization exhaust gas and recovering heat released after the raw materials with heating values in the ceramsite are combusted or pyrolyzed in the decarburization exhaust gas.
