PALLET CAR FOR THE TRANSPORT OF BULK MATERIAL FOR A THERMAL TREATMENT

Provided is a pallet car for the transport of bulk material for a thermal treatment thereof. The pallet car comprises a frame with at least two opposed cross-beams on which grate bars rest and two end pieces each connecting the cross-beams with each other, which each include at least two rollers and at least one side wall. In the pallet car, the grate bars and/or the side walls and/or the insulating plates are made of a ceramic fiber composite, wherein the fibers are metallic and high-temperature resistant.

A kiln car assembly for a firing kiln having a plurality of upper burners includes a kiln car with an uppermost plurality of ceramic green bodies, a plurality of vertical members, and a horizontal supporting plate for supporting the ceramic green bodies during a firing process in the kiln. Further, the kiln car assembly includes a covering table having a tabletop located between the uppermost plurality of ceramic green bodies and the upper burners, and a plurality of legs positioned on the horizontal supporting plate.

REFRACTORY KILN CAR RESISTANT TO HIGH TEMPERATURE SHOCK AND CREEP

A refractory kiln car formed using a refractory composition has excellent resistance to high-temperature thermal shock and creep. The refractory composition is based primarily on chamotte having controlled particle sizes, and may also include mullite, fused silica, calcined alumina and microsilica, having controlled particle sizes. The refractory composition includes an aqueous colloidal silica binder that provides excellent castability and binding between the ingredients following drying.

Tunnel burner including a perforated flame holder

A process oven includes a housing structure with a conveyor system configured to carry product through a housing structure from a first opening to a second opening. A perforated flame holder is positioned within the housing structure and configured to apply, to the product, thermal energy released by a combustion reaction held by the perforated flame holder.

Sealing system for a machine for thermal treatment of bulk material

The disclosure relates to a machine for thermal treatment of bulk material, comprising, a stationary furnace which presents a support structure, and a plurality of pallet cars traveling through the furnace, said plurality of pallet cars together defining, at a lateral side thereof, a common engagement surface which extends through the furnace, wherein a gap is defined between the support structure of the furnace and the common engagement surface, said gap having a gap length, the machine further comprising: a sealing system comprising: one or more drop bars, wherein each drop bar of the one or more drop bars includes a brush arranged on the drop bar such that the brush is configured to be in engagement with the common engagement surface such that the one or more drop bars covers the gap over at least parts of the gap length.

Travelling grate condition monitoring

A system and method for monitoring the condition of a travelling grate machine including univocally identifying each pallet car; collecting a plurality of condition indicating parameters for the wheels, the grate bars, the car body and/or the side walls of the pellet car; attributing the collected condition indicating parameters to an individual pallet car; storing the collected condition indicating parameters for each pallet car in a database; evaluating the condition of the travelling grate machine; comparing the different condition indicating parameters collected by the different sensor means of each pallet car to reference parameters and/or to previously collected condition indicating parameters of that same pallet car; identifying the faults in each pallet car based on this comparison; classifying each pallet car according to its need of maintenance based on the severity of different identified faults; and determining the pallet car in most need of maintenance based on this classification.

Grate bar for a pelletizing or sintering machine

A grate bar for mounting in arrays of adjacent grate bars in a pallet car of a sintering or pelletizing machine includes an elongate crossbeam extending in a longitudinal direction of a horizontal plane, with a middle section between two opposite end sections. The crossbeam has a generally rectangular cross-section with an upper surface for receiving bulk material thereon, an opposite lower surface, and peripheral surfaces for facing adjacent grate bars. The crossbeam has two legs to vertically secure the grate bar to the pallet car. The end sections of the crossbeam include first interlocking components shaped and arranged such that they cooperate with first interlocking components of grate bars of a neighbouring row of grate bars; thereby limiting relative translations of two neighbouring grate bars in at least a vertical and a horizontal orientation. The first interlocking means components have a triangular cross-section in a horizontal plane.
