Melters for glass forming apparatuses
In embodiments, a melter for melting glass may include an inlet wall, an outlet wall opposite the inlet wall, and sidewalls extending from the inlet wall to the outlet wall. The inlet wall, outlet wall, and sidewalls define a glass melting space enclosed by a floor and a top. In embodiments, the inlet wall may comprise a glass contact wall comprising a glass contact surface facing the glass melting space. A superstructure of the inlet wall comprises a jack arch positioned over the glass contact wall and at least a portion of the glass melting space. A plane of an interior face of the jack arch and a plane of the glass contact surface are off-set in a horizontal direction. A vertical distance from the floor to an underside of the jack arch is less than a vertical distance from the floor to an underside of the top.
TAPERED PLUG BURNER CLEANING PORTS
A burner for a metal-melting furnace can releasably receive a tapered plug in sealing engagement with an access passage aligned with an air passage. The burner may be configured to extend through a wall of the metal-melting furnace so that the air passage is through a front face within the furnace and so that the access passage is through a rear face outside of the furnace. The access passage may be aligned with the air passage to permit a rigid structure to be passed through the burner from outside the furnace to dislodge build-up of solidified metal from the air passage. The tapered plug may be moveable between a sealing configuration of being received in a seat to seal the access passage during burner operation and a cleaning configuration of being removed from the seat to expose the access passage for insertion of the rigid structure.
Heat treating apparatus for recovering lithume carbonate and an apparatus for recovering lithume carbonate using the same
A heat treatment apparatus used in a process of recovering lithium carbonate from a waste cathode material and a lithium carbonate recovery apparatus using the same are provided. The heat treatment apparatus includes a heat treatment furnace having an inlet through which an object to be treated is input and an outlet through which the heat-treated object is discharged, a support section rotatably supporting the heat treatment furnace, a burner provided in the heat treatment furnace to supply combustion gas to the heat treatment furnace, and an exhaust gas re-supply device re-supplying a portion of the combustion gas discharged from the heat treatment furnace to the heat treatment furnace, wherein the heat treatment furnace is divided into a first region in which the inlet is disposed, a second region connected to the first region, and a third region connected to the second region and in which the burner is disposed.
BURNER SYSTEM WITH DISCRETE TRANSVERSE FLAME STABILIZERS
A combustion system includes a fuel and oxidant source and a flame holder. The flame holder includes a plurality of discrete slats arranged in parallel defining combustion channels between adjacent slats. Pairs of adjacent slats may be oriented to operate substantially as a V-gutter. The fuel and oxidant source outputs fuel and oxidant into the combustion channels. The flame holder holds a combustion reaction of the fuel and oxidant in the combustion channels.
Gas injection system, furnace provided with such a system and use thereof
A gas injection system includes a tubular wall 3 capable of being thermally stressed and having a proximal extremity and a distal extremity 11, at the distal extremity, at least one extremity opening through which at least one gas is projected. A cooling is system located in the tubular wall including axial channels 12 which extend axially towards the distal extremity and in which a cooling fluid is circulated. Connecting channels 13 circumferentially join the axial channels to each other at the distal extremity of the tubular wall. The connecting channels, which circumferentially join the axial channels at the distal extremity of the tubular wall, have a rounded shape in the direction of the distal extremity.
Regenerators with pressurized cavity in partition walls
A pressurized cavity is provided around at least a portion or all of a regenerator, within which gas such as flue gas is maintained at a pressure in excess of the pressure within the regenerator, to protect against leakage of gas through the walls of the regenerator.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY FURNACE
An installation for melting a composition of raw materials, suitable for obtaining glass wool, textile glass yarns and/or flat glass, includes a melting chamber equipped with at least one submerged burner, wherein the melting chamber is defined by side walls made of refractory material and a bare metal bottom traversed by a network of pipes adapted for the circulation of a cooling fluid.
BIOMASS COMBUSTION SYSTEM FOR CERAMIC ROLLER KILN AND BIOMASS COMBUSTION METHOD
A biomass combustion system for ceramic roller kiln, including a roller kiln including a preheating section, a combustion section and a cooling section; a biomass gasifier with a feed port, a first gas inlet, a second gas inlet and an gas outlet; a fuel manifold; and a pentane gasification device connected to the fuel manifold. The biomass or biomass waste is fed through the feed port. The gas outlet is connected to the fuel manifold through a heat exchanger. The premixer is configured to mix part of the hot air discharged from the cooling section with a mixture of biomass gas and gaseous pentane transported by the fuel manifold to obtain an air-fuel mixture, and distribute the mixture to the combustion section through burners. A biomass combustion process is also provided.
Feed flow conditioner for particulate feed materials
A feed charging device comprises a holding vessel having an interior chamber for holding a reserve of a solid particulate feed material in a fluidized state, wherein the feed material is held in said fluidized state in a lower zone of the interior chamber. The feed material is supplied to the interior chamber through at least one outlet opening, and is discharged from the interior chamber through at least one outlet opening. The at least one outlet opening is in flow communication with the lower zone of the interior chamber. A gas supply means supplies a fluidizing gas to the lower zone of the interior chamber, and an outlet conduit in flow communication with the at least one outlet opening receives said feed material discharged from the interior chamber.
