RADIATOR FOR COOLING A TRANSFORMER OR A CHOKE, UNIT INCLUDING A TRANSFORMER OR A CHOKE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A RADIATOR
A radiator for cooling a transformer, preferably a power transformer, or a choke, includes a plurality of plate-shaped radiator elements which are disposed parallel to one another and through which a coolant can flow in parallel. At least one elastically deformable element is provided at least between two adjacent radiator elements and is constructed in such a way that it counteracts an expansion of the radiator elements perpendicular to the surface of the radiator elements. Plastic deformation of the walls of the radiator elements can be prevented by the elastically deformable elements. A unit including a transformer or a choke and a method for producing a radiator are also provided.
INTERNAL FUEL/AIR HEAT EXCHANGERS
A system includes an engine case. A heat exchanger is included inside the engine case. The heat exchanger includes an air passage and a fuel passage. The air passage and fuel passage are in fluid isolation from one another, but are in thermal communication with one another for exchange of heat.
Water-cooling head
A water-cooling head includes a casing, a base, a thermal conduction structure and a pump. An active space is defined by the base and the casing collaboratively. A working medium is filled in the active space. The pump includes a fixing element, a shaft and an impeller. After the fixing element is fixed, the fixing element is contacted with the base or contacted with the thermal conduction structure, and the shaft is fixed on the fixing element. Consequently, the impeller is stably rotated about the shaft, and the performance and the reliability of the water-cooling head are enhanced.
RETAINED STRONG HEADER FOR HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a fluid reservoir having a peripherally extending foot, a header having a mounting tab bent to engage the foot of the fluid reservoir to couple the header to the fluid reservoir, and a retaining feature configured to prevent disengagement of the mounting tab of the header from the foot of the fluid reservoir. The retaining feature overlays at least a portion of an outer surface of the mounting tab while otherwise restrained by a portion of the fluid reservoir in order to prevent the disengagement of the mounting tab from the foot.
Heat exchanger and air-conditioning apparatus
A heat exchanger includes flat cross-sectional shaped heat transfer tubes arranged with gaps between flat surfaces of the flat heat transfer tubes facing each other, and each having a flow passage in a vertical direction, and corrugated fins disposed between the flat surfaces facing each other. The corrugated fins each include an end portion in a direction in which air flows, and protruding from end portions of the flat surfaces, a drain hole provided adjacent to central regions of the flat surfaces in the direction in which the air flows, first louvers located upstream of the drain hole, and each including a slit and a slat that is inclined in the vertical direction, and second louvers located downstream of the drain hole, and each including a slit and a slat that is inclined in the vertical direction.
SHROUD FOR AN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT HEAT EXCHANGER
A protective shroud includes a top plate, a first side plate that is adapted to be disposed proximate a first edge region of a plurality of cooling fins of a heat exchanger for an integrated circuit, and a second side plate that is adapted to be disposed proximate a second edge region of the plurality of cooling fins.
Water-cooling head
A water-cooling head includes a casing, a base, an input channel, an output channel and a pump. An active space is defined by the base and the casing collaboratively. A working medium is filled in the active space. The heat absorbed by the base is transferred to the working medium. The input channel is in communication with the active space. The cooled working medium is introduced into the active space through the input channel. The output channel is in communication with the active space. The heated working medium is outputted from the active space through the output channel. The pump is installed on the casing, and includes an impeller. The impeller is disposed within the active space and located near the output channel. The impeller is driven to guide the working medium to be outputted from the active space through the output channel.
Fluid flow guide insert for heat exchanger tubes
A heat exchanger tube insert for use in a heat exchanger tube located within a fuel fired apparatus or non-fired storage tank heat exchanger. The heat exchanger tube insert includes a central rode, a cap, and at least two protruding helical guides that are configured to direct a flow of heated working fluid around the inner circumference of the heat exchanger tube.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a header and a side plate. The header has a face plate that defines a plurality of orifices. The header has a protrusion that extends outward from the header and down such that a gap is formed between the header and the protrusion. An external portion of the protrusion is configured to break away from the header during thermal expansion. The side plate is disposed adjacent to an array of alternating tubes and fins. Each tube extends into one of the orifices of the plurality of orifices. The side plate has an end that is secured to the external portion of the protrusion.
Heating and cooling system, and heat exchanger for the same
A heating and cooling system includes a heat exchange section to transfer heat between refrigerant and air in both a heating mode and a cooling mode. The heat exchange section includes at least two refrigerant passes. Refrigerant is circuited through the refrigerant passes in the same direction in both the heating mode and the cooling mode, so that the overall flow orientation between the refrigerant passes and the air is a counter-flow orientation in both the heating mode and the cooling mode.
