The heat exchanger assembly further includes an external flow path configured to receive a flow of a second coolant proximate a surface of the external flow path.
HEADER OF HEAT EXCHANGER
A cylindrical header of a heat exchanger includes a central member, front-side and rear-side members extending longitudinally on front and rear sides of the central member to form front-side and rear-side spaces along with the central member. The central member has a first flange covering a front-side-member-first-end part and a rear-side-member-first-end part from outside when viewed in cross-section, and a second flange covering a front-side-member-second-end part and a rear-side-member-second-end part from outside when viewed in cross-section. The front-side member is joined to the central member with the front-side-member-first-end part facing an inner surface of the first flange, and the front-side-member-second-end part facing an inner surface of the second flange. The rear-side is joined to the central member with the rear-side-member-first-end part facing an inner surface of the first flange, and the rear-side-member-second-end part facing an inner surface of the second flange.
HEAT EXCHANGER FIXING STRUCTURE OF AIR CONDITIONER
A heat exchanger fixing structure, for two or more heat exchangers bent in multiple layers, includes two or more plates respectively fixed to one ends of the two or more heat exchangers, wherein portions of the two or more plates may overlap each other, and the two or more heat exchangers are connected and fixed to each other by fastening a fastening member to the overlapping portions.
Refrigeration apparatus with refrigerant lubricant subcooling heat exchanger and use thereof
A refrigeration apparatus, including a main circuit for a loop circulation of a main flow of refrigerant, the main circuit including a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve and an evaporator. The refrigeration apparatus comprises a lubrication branch, for deriving a lubrication flow from the main flow for feeding the compressor for lubrication. The main circuit includes a low-temperature part, consisting in the evaporator, the compressor inlet, and any part of the main circuit between the evaporator and the compressor inlet. The lubrication branch further includes a subcooling heat exchanger, which is configured for enabling an exchange of heat between the lubrication flow circulating through the lubrication branch and the main flow of refrigerant circulating through the low-temperature part, so that the lubrication flow may be cooled by the main flow of refrigerant circulating through the low-temperature part, within the subcooling heat exchanger.
Heat exchanger mounting structure
A heat exchanger mounting structure is provided with a bracket, a load supporting section, a fitting member, and a contact section. The bracket is provided to one of a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger. The load supporting section is provided to the other heat exchanger to which the bracket is not provided, and supports a load transmitted from the one of the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger. The fitting member is provided to the one of the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger, to which the bracket is provided, and is fitted over the load supporting section. The contact section is in contact with at least a part of the upper portion of the bracket.

Such heat exchangers include open cooling towers, closed circuit cooling towers, and evaporative condensers. The improved water management system eliminates water splash out and the noise associated with water splashing. Further when the fan assemblies are located below the evaporative heat exchanger, the improved water management system keeps the fans dry and prevents freezing in subzero climates.
Detecting loss of charge in HVAC systems
An HVAC system includes an evaporator, a first sensor coupled to the evaporator at a first position, and a second sensor operably coupled to the evaporator at a second position. The first sensor monitors a first temperature of the refrigerant flowing in the evaporator at the first position, which is adjacent to the evaporator inlet. The second sensor monitors a second temperature of the refrigerant flowing in the evaporator at the second position, which is downstream from the first position. The system includes a controller, which receives a first signal corresponding to the first temperature and a second signal corresponding to the second temperature. The controller determines, based on the received signals, a temperature difference between the second temperature and the first temperature. In response to determining that the temperature difference is greater than a predefined threshold value, the controller determines that a loss of charge has occurred.
