Each unit cell of the plurality of unit cells includes a first wall and a second wall. The second wall is spaced from the first wall. The first wall at least partially defines a first passageway portion and a second passageway portion. The second wall at least partially defines the second passageway portion. The second wall extends about the first wall such that the first passageway portion is nested within the second passageway portion.
ICE-MAKING MACHINE AND HEAT EXCHANGER THEREFOR
A heat exchanger for an ice-making machine comprises a generally cylindrical, tubular body defining a generally cylindrical, internal heat exchange surface, and at least one refrigerant circuit comprising at least one refrigerant passage disposed about the outer surface of the tubular body, at least a portion of the refrigerant circuit being brazed to the outer surface of the tubular body.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SOLID FUEL AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING SOLID FUEL
To provide a method for producing a solid fuel that can efficiently evaporate moisture contained in a slurry by enhancing heat exchange efficiency.
The method for producing a solid fuel of the present invention includes the steps of: preparing a slurry by mixing powdery low-grade coal and oil; evaporating moisture contained in the slurry by heating; and separating the slurry obtained after the evaporation step into solid and liquid, wherein the evaporation step includes the steps of: preheating the slurry in a first circulation route; and heating the preheated slurry in a second circulation route that is different from the first circulation route. Preferably, in the preheating step and the heating step, a multitubular heat exchanger is used, the heating medium is supplied to the shell side, and the slurry is supplied to the tube side. Preferably, the process steam generated in the evaporation step is used as the heating medium for anyone of the preheating step and the heating step, and externally introduced steam is used as the heat medium for the other.
Heat Exchanger with Decreased Core Cross-Sectional Areas
A heat exchanger has a first plurality of fluid passages with an inlet manifold communicating into a core portion, and then an outlet manifold. A second plurality of fluid passages has an inlet manifold communicating into a core portion, and then into an outlet manifold and the core portions of both the first and second pluralities of fluid passages having smaller cross-sectional areas than cross-sectional areas of the inlet and outlet manifolds. A gas turbine engine and a method of forming a heat exchanger are also disclosed.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger carries out heat exchange between a refrigerant that undergoes a phase change during heat exchange and another heating medium. The heat exchanger includes headers having the refrigerant flowing through interiors, a plurality of multi-hole first flat tubes, and a plurality of second flat tubes. The first flat tubes extend in a direction intersecting a lengthwise direction of the headers. The first flat tubes have a plurality of refrigerant flow channels with the refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant flow channels. The second flat tubes are stacked alternately with respect to the first flat tubes, with the other heating medium flowing through the second flat tubes. The headers are arranged to extend along a horizontal direction.
HEAT EXCHANGE CONDUIT AND HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchange conduit includes a conduit body extending along a longitudinal axis between an inlet at one end thereof and an outlet at an opposed end. The conduit body has at least one conduit wall. At least one of said conduit walls is a heat-exchange wall shaped to be in heat exchange relationship with an object or fluid in contact therewith. An elongated turbulence strip is disposed within the conduit body and extends along a length thereof. The turbulence strip has longitudinally spaced-apart flow impact walls. Each flow impact wall has a peripheral rim and is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A flow gap for fluid flow is defined between at least a portion of the peripheral rim of each flow impact wall and an adjacent inner surface of the at least one conduit wall.
Refrigeration apparatus
Leakage of a heating medium from a condenser or an evaporator can be quickly detected by a simple structure. A refrigeration apparatus 1 according to the present invention is formed by connecting a compressor 11, a condenser 12, an expansion valve 13 and an evaporator 14 by a pipe 15 such that a heating medium circulates therethrough in this order. The refrigeration apparatus 1 further includes a pressure detection unit 31, 32 that detects a pressure of the heating medium flowing through the pipe 15, and a control unit 41 that determines that leakage of the heating medium from the condenser 12 or the evaporator 14 has occurred, when a pressure detected by the pressure detection unit 31, 32 becomes not more than a predetermined value.
