Devices and methods for holographic screen suspension systems
The present disclosure provides devices and methods for holographic screen suspension systems. These systems can allow for a smooth reflection surface of the screen that is void of wrinkled or non-uniform surfaces.
Video presentation device, method thereof, and recording medium
A video is superimposed on an object in order that the object will be perceived as if the object were given a motion. This video is a video including a luminance motion component corresponding to a motion given to the object.
REALISTIC ILLUMINATION OF A CHARACTER FOR A SCENE
A system for illuminating a character for a scene includes a computing platform communicatively coupled to a lighting source and a camera, the computing platform including a hardware processor and a system memory storing a software code. The hardware processor executes the software code to identify a background for the scene, generate, using the lighting source, a simulation of the background on a surface illuminated by the lighting source, and utilize the simulation of the background generated on the surface illuminated by the lighting source to illuminate the character for the scene. The hardware processor also executes the software code to track, using the camera, a plurality of parameters of the camera during recording of an image of the illuminated character and the simulation of the background, and to remove the simulation of the background from the image based on the plurality of parameters of the camera.
System for co-positioning of physical and virtual objects
A system for co-positioning physical and virtual objects during stage performances when the movements of the object (3) on the stage (1) are combined with the projected image. The technical result to be achieved is in the enhancement of functionalities of the system due to the increase in the accuracy of movement of the object (3), the increase in speed and degrees of freedom of the object (3) movement providing simultaneous synchronized co-positioning of physical and virtual objects (3).
Decorative lights and related methods
A decorative light can include: a housing defining an interior space and having an open front; a cover mounted to the open front of the housing, the cover including a beam-splitter light lens shade and a substantially planar lens portion disposed around the beam-splitter light lens shade; a motor located in the interior space of the housing, the motor including an output shaft; a first light module located in the interior space and including first light units disposed about the output shaft of the motor, where the output shaft is rotatable with respect to the first light units; a second light module located in the interior space and including second light units disposed about the output shaft of the motor, wherein the output shaft is rotatable with respect to the second light units; and a rotating lens module connected to the output shaft of the motor for rotation.
Methods for a stage performance
Disclosed are methods that create the perception for an audience that an actor is being transported from one location to another during a stage performance. Also disclosed are methods for entrance onto/exit from a stage platform by an actor, or entrance onto/exit from a stage backdrop by a precision image that represents an actor. The disclosed methods involve interaction of an actor with an object/prop or image of an object/prop, and/or involve interaction of an image of an actor with an object/prop or image of an object/prop during a stage performance.
Special effects system providing a ceiling saber cut
A special effects system to provide the effect or illusion of a surface of a set (such as a ceiling, sidewall, floor, or the like) being penetrated and cut by a physical prop (e.g., a tool or weapon). In some preferred embodiments, the physical prop takes on the appearance of a glowing or hot elongated rod similar to the blade of an energy sword or light saber as found in entertainment media. The system is configured to provide the illusion, in these cases, that a circular groove or slot is being formed as the hot blade burns through the material of the surface of the set/scene. Additional effects add to the believability of this illusion including the up and down sawing movement of the physical prob through the slot, appearance of smoke with shadows near the cutting regions, and bright sparkling lighting at leading edge of slot.
System and Method for Coordinating Live Acting Performances at Venues
Live performances are coordinated at venues using a host (server) and client (user devices). Scripts for live performances are stored at the host. Each script has roles for playing by users (actors) and has teleprompter text for delivery at a sequence in the live performances. Media elements are associated at the host in the sequence of the teleprompter text for output in the live performances. Once a lobby is created for a live performance at a venue, clients are associated at the host with the roles for the script. The host delivers the teleprompter text for output in real time at the sequence during the live performance with the clients at the venue, and the host delivers the associated media elements for output in the sequence during the live performance at the venue. Each venue can have an associated configuration for media output so the host can deliver the media elements according to the configuration.
SMART ENTERTAINMENT TECHNOLOGY ATTRACTIONS
Smart Entertainment Technology uses technology to create an enhanced, real-world experience or adventure, and helps users explore, communicate, learn, and solve puzzles, creating a richer, more immersive experience. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a plurality of patrons in an entertainment attraction using a contactless sensor. The entertainment attraction comprises a room, and each wall of the room comprises modular, interconnected, adaptable full-wall digital displays. The method further includes determining a digital attraction experience suitable for each of the patrons based on the age and attraction preferences of each of the patrons. The method additionally includes formatting for display on the modular full-wall digital displays content associated with the determined digital attraction experience. The method further includes determining an interactive gesture performed by one of the patrons, and formatting for display on the full-wall digital displays, appropriate content responsive to the interactive gesture.
DISPLAY METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
A cone for use in a Pepper's Ghost illusion includes a conical wall of semi-reflective material, and an attachment member for removably attaching the cone to the surface of a light emissive display, and a method of displaying a Pepper's Ghost illusion includes positioning a cone of semi-reflective material onto a light emissive display; and displaying on the light emissive display an image that has been distorted by an inverse of a distortion caused by a reflection of the cone.
