A decorative light can include: a housing defining an interior space and having an open front; a cover mounted to the open front of the housing, the cover including a beam-splitter light lens shade and a substantially planar lens portion disposed around the beam-splitter light lens shade; a motor located in the interior space of the housing, the motor including an output shaft; a first light module located in the interior space and including first light units disposed about the output shaft of the motor, where the output shaft is rotatable with respect to the first light units; a second light module located in the interior space and including second light units disposed about the output shaft of the motor, wherein the output shaft is rotatable with respect to the second light units; and a rotating lens module connected to the output shaft of the motor for rotation.

A special effect system may include fog generation equipment configured to generate fog, a show element comprising one or more compartments, and a controller communicatively coupled to the fog generation equipment. The fog generation equipment may include one or more positive pressure sources and one or more negative pressure sources. The controller may perform operations comprising applying negative pressure from the one or more negative pressure sources to the one or more compartments for a period of time, permitting the fog to enter the one or more compartments after the period of negative pressure, and applying a positive pressure from the one or more positive pressure sources to cause the fog to exit the one or more compartments to trigger a combustion effect.

A wind direction indicator for hunters includes a smoke generator, a housing, an electrical power source, an air pump and a switch all arranged such that the indicator may be actuated by a hunter using a single hand. The smoke generator may be a cartomizer as an example.

The reactive show action equipment system also includes a sensor configured to detect a characteristic of the special effect or a characteristic impactful to the special effect and transmit data indicative of the characteristic. A control system is configured to receive the data indicative of the characteristic and instruct the one or more actuators based on the data indicative of the characteristic. In some embodiments, one or more components of the special effects system may be onboard the show action equipment.

The invention is directed to an apparatus for use in producing a simulated flame/fire effect using steam or theatrical smoke. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes an first chamber for receiving steam or theatrical smoke, an annular second chamber that surrounds the first chamber and defines an annular closed-loop slot through which a closed-loop sheet of steam or theatrical smoke exits, a passageway for conveying smoke from the first chamber to the annular second chamber, a lighting structure for projecting light onto the steam or theatrical smoke exiting the annular slot, and an air modulator for modulating the position of the steam or theatrical smoke exiting the slot.

The invention is directed to special effect device that is used to produce a simulated flame that has the shape and, if desired, the color characteristics of the flame produced by a jet afterburner. In one embodiment, the device includes a steam system for providing a stream of steam, a steam accelerator for applying a high-speed and highly linear stream of air to steam provided by the steam system to produce at steam cloud with a highly linear shape similar to the shape of the flame produced by a jet afterburner, and a lighting system to project desired colors onto the linear steam cloud.
