A system is described. The system includes a first region and a second region. The first region is configured to retain particles and has a first characteristic dimension. The second region is communicatively coupled with the first region such that the particles can travel between the first region and the second region. The second region has a second characteristic dimension of not larger than twice a characteristic length for the particles. The second region has a barrier that offers resistance to or interruption in particle movement.
Two-phase cooling in vascular composites using a pumped fluid loop
A method to improve thermal performance of vascular composites by using a two-phase working fluid for isothermalization includes the steps of: manufacturing a vascular composite structure optimized for a design point; manufacturing a thermal back end sized for the application; integrating the vascular composite into a fluid loop; and evacuating and filling the fluid loop with working fluid to an amount resulting in two-phase operation at the design point.

A heat transport system includes: a two-phase closed loop heat pipe; a pump disposed in a liquid conduit or a vapor conduit of the loop heat pipe to exert a circulation drive force on a working fluid; a tilt sensor that detects a tilt of the loop heat pipe; and a controller configured to run the pump if the tilt is greater than a predetermined tilt threshold and stop the pump if the tilt is equal to or smaller than the tilt threshold.
Water cooling head
A water cooling head includes water cooling head includes a casing, a base and a pump. The casing includes an inlet and an outlet. An outer side of the base has a heat-absorbing surface. A thermal conduction structure is disposed on an inner side of the base. An active space is defined by the base and the casing collaboratively. The pump includes a first magnetic element, a second magnetic element, an impeller and a pivotal part. The first magnetic element is located outside the active space. The first magnetic element is arranged between the impeller and the base along a direction perpendicular to the base. The pivotal part, the second magnetic element and the impeller are disposed within the active space. The pivotal part is connected with the impeller and arranged between the impeller and the base. The second magnetic element is installed on the pivotal part.
WATER-COOLING HEAT DISSIPATION DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a water-cooling heat dissipation device, including a liquid guide assembly, a heat exchanger, a heat sink, and a water-cooling pump. The liquid guide assembly includes a first liquid guide pipe, a second liquid guide pipe, and a third liquid guide pipe; two ends of the first liquid guide pipe respectively communicate with the heat exchanger and the heat sink; two ends of the second liquid guide pipe respectively communicate with the heat exchanger and the water-cooling pump; two ends of the third liquid guide pipe respectively communicate with the water-cooling pump and the heat sink; and the water-cooling pump is fixed on the liquid guide assembly.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEAT EXCHANGE
The present disclosure provides methods and systems for heat exchange, such as cooling a heat source. A cooling system of the present disclosure may comprise a first channel that is configured to direct a liquid coolant, a second channel that is configured to direct a vapor coolant generated from the liquid coolant, and a condenser that is configured to permit the vapor coolant to undergo phase transition to the liquid coolant. The cooling system may further comprise at least one cooling interface in fluid communication with the first channel and the second channel. The cooling interface may be configured to facilitate heat exchange between the liquid coolant and a heat source.
ROTOR COOLING SYSTEM
This invention relates to temperature control of rotating shafts or assemblies to ensure proper operation and high reliability. Though it is particularly well suited for cooling high power, compact motors used in automotive applications, it can also be used to dissipate heat efficiently from other rotating assemblies to ensure that their temperatures remain within acceptable limits. The invention achieves this by utilizing a rotating heat pipe that incorporates a solid-liquid phase change material as the heat transfer/transport material. In addition, it comprises a scraped surface heat exchange mechanism at the heat dissipation region to allow for high cooling rates as required.
Cooling device and motor utilizing a heating element to circulate cooling
A cooling device and a motor are provided. The cooling device that cools a heating element is provided with: a cooling chamber for cooling the heating element with a first cooling medium; a radiator chamber for releasing the heat of the first cooling medium to the outside; and a first connection path and a second connection path for connecting the cooling chamber and the radiator chamber. When part of the first cooling medium in the cooling chamber is gasified, at least part of the gasified first cooling medium moves into the first connection path, thus causing a circulation in which the first cooling medium in the cooling chamber flows into the radiator chamber via the first connection path, and the first cooling medium in the radiator chamber flows into the cooling chamber via the second connection path.
ENCLOSURE FOR AN OPTOELECTRONIC SENSOR AND LIDAR SENSOR
An enclosure for an optoelectronic sensor. The enclosure includes a thermodynamically open first chamber; a thermodynamically closed second chamber; and a rotor extending from the first chamber into the second chamber. The rotor includes a shaft part in the second chamber coaxial to the rotational axis of the rotor. The shaft part mounts an optoelectronic sensor device. The rotor includes a head part in the first chamber coaxial to the rotational axis of the rotor. A heat dissipation fan is fixedly arranged on and surrounds the head part. The head part and the fan are rotatably and thermally coupled to the shaft part to rotate simultaneously with the shaft part. The rotor transfers heat over the shaft part from the second chamber to the head part and the fan dissipates the transferred heat to an environment.
TWO PHASE OIL COOLING SYSTEM
The present disclosure provides a two phase oil cooling system for a work vehicle. The system includes a condenser, an evaporator, a refrigerant path, and a pump. The condenser cools a refrigerant from vapor form to liquid form. The evaporator exchanges heat between a first fluid of the work vehicle and the refrigerant, and heats the refrigerant from liquid form to vapor form. The refrigerant path comprises a first refrigerant path thermally coupling the condenser to the evaporator and a second refrigerant path thermally coupling the evaporator to the condenser. The refrigerant flows through the refrigerant path. The pump is positioned in the first refrigerant path for pumping the refrigerant from the condenser to the evaporator, such that the evaporator is downstream of the pump and the condenser is downstream of the evaporator.
