Compact heat exchanger
The present invention relates to a compact heat exchange device, applicable to either EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) systems for reducing nitrogen oxide emission, or to WHRS systems (Waste Heat Recovery Systems), both in internal combustion engines. The design of the heat exchanger is characterized by a configuration that incorporates technical solutions intended for compensating for the differential expansions between the tube bundle and the shell, as well as other variables relating to thermal fatigue, where said solutions result in a compact device.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger for cooling a gas includes a gas inlet, a gas outlet, and a plurality of cooling tubes arranged between the gas inlet and the gas outlet, wherein the cooling tubes of two successive tube rows are arranged offset transversely to a flow direction of the gas. A fin having openings is provided for receiving a corresponding number of the cooling tubes. The fin has slits arranged at a distance from the openings and configured to follow an edge profile of a honeycomb-shaped hexagon, with the slits of each hexagon surrounding a corresponding one of the openings at the distance. Arranged between adjacent ones of the openings is a corresponding one of the slits at a same distance from each of the adjacent openings, with each slit having an end ending at a deformation point of the fin.
ONCE-THROUGH VERTICAL TUBED SUPERCRITICAL EVAPORATOR COIL FOR AN HRSG
Disclosed is a Once-Through Steam Generator (OTSG) coil (52) and method, comprising a plurality of vertically arranged serpentine conduits (90) in a horizontal heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) that replaces a traditional natural circulation HP evaporator for producing super-critical steam. The OTSG comprises a lower equalization header system (130) that promotes system stability in multiple operating conditions. The equalization header allows a partial flow of fluid from the lower serpentine curved flow path (120) through an equalization conduit (125) into the equalization header (130) Disclosed also are: a flow restriction device in serpentine conduits; drainage structure from serpentine conduits through the equalization header, a drainage expansion section to accommodate stresses, and drainage bypass connections; and flow through serpentine conduits in upstream and downstream directions, mixed flow directions and longitudinally staggered directions.
EGR COOLER FOR VEHICLE
The present disclosure provides an EGR cooler for a vehicle. The EGR cooler includes: a gas passage having a predetermined length, the gas passage including a linear part forming a linear section and extension parts extending from opposite ends of the linear part after being bent; a heat radiation fin having a shape formed by being folded several times, the heat radiation fin being placed in the linear section of the gas passage; and a base provided with an inlet hole at a first end and an outlet hole at a second end. In particular, the inlet hole and the outlet hole each has a shape corresponding to a cross-section of the gas passage, and the extension parts are inserted into the inlet hole and the outlet hole, respectively.
Heat Exchanger for Heating a Fluid Using Exhaust Gas
A rapid warm-up heat exchanger for heating a fluid using exhaust gas includes multiple plate pairs that are joined by braze joints to form a stack. A fluid inlet manifold and a fluid manifold extend through the stack, and each one of the plate pairs defines a tortuous flow path for the fluid that extends between the fluid inlet and fluid outlet manifolds. A housing surrounds the stack, and together the housing and the stack define an exhaust flow path in spaces provided between adjacent plate pairs. A valve element can be provided within the housing in order to selectively direct exhaust flow through the exhaust flow path.
Heat exchanger for gases, in particular for the exhaust gases of an engine
A heat exchanger (1) for gases, in particular for the exhaust gases of an engine includes a bundle of tubes (2) arranged inside a casing (3) defining a gas inlet (4) and outlet (5). The tubes (2) being intended for the circulation of the gases with a view to exchanging heat with a coolant, and the tubes (2) being distributed in at least one column having a plurality of rows defining a plurality of spaces (8) between the rows, and including a coolant inlet pipe (9) and outlet pipe (10) connected to the casing (3). The exchanger (1) includes a bypass channel (11) incorporated into the casing (3) capable of connecting the spaces (8) defined between the rows of tubes (2) located in front of the channel (11) with one of the coolant pipes (10), in such a way as to improve the distribution of the coolant.
Exhaust gas heat exchanger
An exhaust gas heat exchanger, in particular for use in a motor vehicle, having at least one first flow channel that conducts a first fluid, which first flow channel is accommodated in respective tube sheets at end areas of the first flow channel. A housing surrounds the first flow channel and forms a second flow channel for a second fluid that flows through the housing and flows around the first flow channel. Pipe sheets are inserted into the housing such that the first flow channel is sealed off from the second flow channel. A first diffuser conducts the first fluid into the first flow channel and a second diffuser conducts the first fluid out of the first flow channel. A first shielding element has a first passage and a first spacing element is placed onto a tube sheet from the side facing away from the first flow channel.
Heat Exchanger Utilized As An EGR Cooler In A Gas Recirculation System
A heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a first medium and a second medium has a body comprising a pair of header plates, a pair of distribution plates, and a pair of case body lateral panels. Input and output header plates have a plurality of orifices, with a flow path assembly extending between each input header plate orifice and the corresponding output header plate orifice. Each flow path assembly includes at least one chamber assembly, having a corresponding medium directing component, disposed between a pair of tubular segments. Input and output distribution plates have a plurality of orifices. A first medium inlet side tank engages with the input header, a first medium output side tank engages with the output header plate, a second medium inlet side tank engages with the input distribution plate, and a second medium output side tank engages with the output distribution plate.
HEAT STORAGE UNIT AND HEAT STORAGE SYSTEM
A heat storage unit or a heat storage system is a heat storage unit including: a heat storage portion having a first material with a strongly correlated electron system material; and a heat conduction portion having a second material higher in a thermal conductivity than the first material and being in contact with the heat storage portion. The heat storage unit may have a laminated structure in which the heat storage portion and the heat conduction portion are alternately laminated on each other. For example, a metal-insulator phase transition material or a transition metal oxide may be used as the strongly correlated electron system material. The second material may be metal or ceramics.
Heat Exchanger
The invention relates to a heat exchanger including exchange components and fluid flow components (2, 2′, 3), at least one fluid collecting tank (11, 11′) into which the exchange components open out (2, 2′, 3), at least one collecting plate (10) for holding the exchange components (2, 2′, 3) and a housing (4) for accommodating the exchange components (2, 2′, 3). The exchanger is characterized in that it includes a flange (5) for fixing the collecting tank (11, 11′) on the housing (4).
Thanks to the invention, the transmission of stresses from the flange (5) to the collecting plate (10) is avoided, which means that a thinner collecting plate (10) is able to be formed.
