POINT OF DISPENSE HEAT EXCHANGER FOR FLUIDS

A heat exchanger for fluids includes an elongated conduit. At least two spaced fluid passageways are defined in the conduit and extend longitudinally through the conduit from a first end thereof to a second end thereof. The conduit can be unitary and of one piece. In one embodiment, the conduit can be a single crystal.

The first conduit includes a first inlet, a first outlet, and a first internal flow path extending between the first inlet and first outlet. The first conduit is configured to channel a flow of fluid to be cooled from the first inlet to the first outlet. The external surface which includes a plurality of regions. Each region of the plurality of regions includes a respective set of fins extending from the external surface. Each set of fins of a respective region of the plurality of regions are oriented in a different direction than sets of fins of other regions of the plurality of regions.

HEAT EXCHANGER AND AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS EMPLOYING THE SAME

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of flat tubes, and a header. A flow passage provided inside the header includes a plurality of partition portions each provided between the adjacent flat tubes, a plurality of insertion portions formed between the adjacent partition portions, a first communication passage allowing one ends of the adjacent insertion portions to communicate with each other, and a second communication passage allowing an other ends of the adjacent insertion portions to communicate with each other. A cross-sectional area of the first communication passage is larger than a cross-sectional area of the second communication passage, and the first communication passage is provided with a first refrigerant inlet connected to the flow passage and allowing the refrigerant to flow into the header. Thus, a heat exchanger performance can be improved by reducing a refrigerant pressure loss and by achieving uniform distribution of the refrigerant.

HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes: refrigerant channels that extend in a first direction, are disposed along a second direction intersecting with the first direction, and are disposed along a third direction intersecting with the first direction and the second direction; and heat transfer tubes defining the refrigerant channels. One or both of a size of an outer edge and a size of an inner edge of the heat transfer tubes are different between a first position and a second position in the first direction. Outer surfaces of the heat transfer tubes each include a protrusion that protrudes in a direction intersecting with the first direction, and is in contact with an outer surface of one of the heat transfer tubes adjacent thereto in the second direction. The protrusion includes a concave portion extending along the third direction.

Heat exchanger and refrigeration cycle apparatus

In a heat exchanger, each of a plurality of heat exchange members includes: a main body portion including a heat transfer pipe; and extending portions provided to the main body. The extending portions extend from ends of the main body portion in a third direction. When a dimension of the main body portion in the third direction is represented by La, a dimension of the extending portions in the third direction is represented by Lf, a dimension of a wall thickness of each of the heat transfer pipes is represented by tp, and a thickness dimension of each of the extending portions is represented by Tf, relationships: Lf/La≥1 and Tf≤tp are satisfied.

A Multi Port Extrusion tubing (MPE tubing) (10) made from a Multi Port Extrusion (MPE), the MPE being a web like extrusion (Web-MPE) with two or more individual tubes (8) interlinked with webs (9). The webs have a thickness, which is less than the tube diameter of the individual tubes, and the MPE tubing includes at least one bending zone (A), and at least two straight zones (C1, C2). The web-MPE in the bending zone (A) is bent so that each individual tube has a U-shape, and the web-MPE in a first straight zone (C1) is parallel to the web-MPE in an adjacent second straight zone (C2). The web-MPE in the straight zones on each side of the bending zone (A) extend in substantially the same plane, so that all individual tubes of the web-MPE in the straight zones are parallel to each other, and extend in the same plane.
