Heat dissipation plate and method for manufacturing the same
A heat dissipation device includes a first plate having a first plurality of angled grooves arranged in a first direction, and a second plate having a second plurality of angled grooves arranged in the first direction. The second plate is coupled to the first plate, at least portions of the first plurality of angled grooves and the second plurality of angled grooves are connected to each other such that the first plurality of angled grooves and the second plurality of angled grooves define a fluid channel of the heat dissipation device, and the fluid channel includes coolant. The heat dissipation device also includes at least one capillary structure. At least a portion of the fluid channel is covered by the at least one capillary structure.

A semiconductor device includes a cooling jacket having an inlet for coolant and an outlet for the coolant, a base plate, a first semiconductor element provided on the base plate, a second semiconductor element provided on the base plate, a first fin provided directly under the first semiconductor element on a back surface of the base plate and placed within the cooling jacket, a second fin provided directly under the second semiconductor element on the back surface of the base plate and placed within the cooling jacket, and a separator provided within the cooling jacket to divide the coolant entering the cooling jacket through the inlet into portions respectively cooling the first fin and the second fin.
Plate apparatus suitable for heat and/or material exchange
A plate apparatus suitable for heat and/or material exchange has plates (P.sub.0, P.sub.1, P.sub.2, P.sub.3) contacting each other flush along a peripheral seal (1) while forming respective intermediate spaces (Z.sub.0, Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2, Z.sub.3) and having upper (2, 3) and lower (4, 5) through-flow openings for fluids. A group of these upper and lower through-flow openings (2, 5) is allocated to at least two fluids and is connected by correspondingly placed seals to every second plate intermediate space (Z.sub.1, Z.sub.3) carrying a flow from top to bottom. In flush upper through-flow openings (2) of plates (P.sub.0, P.sub.1, P.sub.2, P.sub.3) a distribution lance (6) runs across these openings and has outlet openings (6a) for at least one of the fluids. It is essential that the outlet openings (6a) are directed into those plate intermediate spaces (Z.sub.0, Z.sub.2) arranged between the second plate intermediate spaces (Z.sub.1, Z.sub.3) for the fluids to be mixed.
Polymer film heat exchanger sealing system and method
A method of manufacturing a heat exchanger array that includes stacking a plurality of heat exchanger units in an aligned configuration with respective first ports of the plurality of heat exchanger units aligned. The method can further include generating heat in the first coupling elements at the same time and at a temperature sufficient to generate a first plurality of respective couplings between adjacent sheets of adjacent heat exchanger units about adjacent first ports and without a coupling being generated between the first and second sheets of a given heat exchanger unit.
Modular heat exchanger
A heat exchanger comprising a plurality of plates that are demountably attached to a frame is disclosed. Each plate comprises a plurality of channels for conveying a primary fluid through the heat exchanger. The frames are arranged in the frame so that spaces between adjacent frame pairs define conduits for conveying a secondary fluid through the heat exchanger. The plates are mounted in the frame so that they can be individually removed from the frame. Further, each of the channels is fluidically connected to input and output ports for the primary fluid by detachable couplings. As a result, heat exchangers in accordance with the present invention are more easily repaired or refurbished than prior-art heat exchangers.
Reduced thermal expansion closure bars for a heat exchanger
A plate fin heat exchanger is configured to receive hot flow from a hot source and cool flow from a cool source. The plate fin heat exchanger includes a plurality of plates arranged in parallel to define a plurality of flow passages there between, and a set of closure bars arranged at a first side of the plurality of plates to seal a first set of the flow passages against ingress of the hot flow, thereby directing the hot flow into a second set of the flow passages. Each respective closure bar includes an inner core formed of a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion and an outer cladding arranged about the inner core, the outer cladding formed of a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion. The first coefficient of thermal expansion is less than the second coefficient of thermal expansion.
Reduced thermal expansion closure bars for a heat exchanger
A plate fin heat exchanger is configured to receive hot flow from a hot source and cool flow from a cool source. The plate fin heat exchanger includes a plurality of plates arranged in parallel to define a plurality of flow passages there between, and a set of closure bars arranged at a first side of the plurality of plates to seal a first set of the flow passages against ingress of the hot flow, thereby directing the hot flow into a second set of the flow passages. Each respective closure bar includes an inner core formed of a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion and an outer cladding arranged about the inner core, the outer cladding formed of a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion. The first coefficient of thermal expansion is less than the second coefficient of thermal expansion.

The present invention discloses a combined plate-and-tube heat exchange evaporative condenser, which comprises a fan, a water pump, a water sprayer, a reservoir and a combined plate-and-tube heat exchanger; the combined plate-and-tube heat exchanger is composed of a plurality of combined plate-and-tube heat exchange pieces connected by inlet headers and outlet headers; the combined plate-and-tube heat exchange piece comprises a heat transfer plate and a serpentine tube machined by the heat exchange tube; the heat transfer plate is provided with a groove, and the shape of the groove is matched with that of the serpentine tube; the serpentine tube is disposed in the groove, and a gap between the serpentine tube and the groove is filled with a thermally conductive adhesive layer.

A plate heat exchanger plate ports and, between the ports, a heat transfer area partly divided by a barrier. The heat exchanger plate comprises a first port, a second port, a third port and a fourth port. Further, the heat exchanger plate is provided with a first transition area between the first and second ports and the heat transfer area, and a second transition area between the third and fourth ports and the heat transfer area, the first and second transition areas being provided with transition ports. The first transition area is open towards the heat transfer area, and the second transition area is separated from the heat transfer area by a sealing.
