Heat exchangers
A heat exchanger which may be used in an engine, such as a vehicle engine for an aircraft or orbital launch vehicle. is provided. The heat exchanger may be configured as generally drum-shaped with a multitude of spiral sections, each containing numerous small diameter tubes. The spiral sections may spiral inside one another. The heat exchanger may include a support structure with a plurality of mutually axially spaced hoop supports, and may incorporate an intermediate header. The heat exchanger may incorporate recycling of methanol or other antifreeze used to prevent blocking of the heat exchanger due to frost or ice formation.
REFRIGERATOR
Provided is a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a main body having a storage space and an evaporator accommodated in the main body and configured to cool cold air supplied to the storage space. The evaporator includes a pair of headers facing each other, a plurality of flat tubes which have both ends respectively connected to the pair of headers and through which a refrigerant flows, and a plurality of plate-shaped heat dissipation fins penetrated by the plurality of flat tubes. Each of the flat tubes has a plate shape and is coupled to each of the headers in a state of being inclined at a set angle.
HEADER PLATES STRUCTURE OF HEAT EXCHANGER
In a header plate structure of heat exchangers having a core divided in plurality, a flat tube is inserted into each of the tube insertion holes having a burring, which is formed in a header plate; the flat tube is joined at an inner surface in the vicinity of a top portion of the burring; a burring with height H1 is formed to a long side portion of a dummy tube insertion hole; and a burring with height H2 is formed to a long side portion of an end portion tube insertion hole adjacent to the dummy tube insertion hole, in which height H2 of the burring of the end portion tube insertion hole has been formed higher than the height H1 of the burring of the dummy tube insertion hole.
Receiving box for a heat exchanger
A receiving box for a heat exchanger may include a box body delimiting at least one duct formed in the box body. The box body may include a plurality of receptacles configured to receive a plurality of tube bodies of the heat exchanger. The plurality of tube bodies may each be fluidically connected to the at least one duct. The box body may define an injection tube that extends along the at least one duct and is separated from the at least one duct via the box body. The injection tube may include at least one outlet opening fluidically connected to the at least one duct.
Heat exchanger with inner sensor grid and restraints for sensor wires and heat exchange tubes
A heat exchanger includes a sensor grid with sensor leads extending through tube restraints for heat exchange tubes in the heat exchanger. The tube restraint includes a body having a plurality of tube openings defined therein with each tube opening receiving one heat exchange tube of the set of heat exchange tubes therethrough. The body also includes a sensor lead opening defined therein to receive a sensor lead therethrough. Each tube opening has a larger dimension than the sensor lead opening. The sensor grid is installed during manufacture rather than in the field, allowing the sensor grid to be on outermost and inner sets of heat exchange tubes in the heat exchanger.
Heat exchanger and air-conditioning apparatus
A heat exchanger includes plural heat transfer tubes disposed with a specified spacing from each other in the up and down direction, and a distributor configured to distribute refrigerant to the heat transfer tubes. The distributor includes a body part, and plural flow-splitting parts, the body part including a first passage in which refrigerant flows upward, the flow-splitting parts communicating with the first passage and with one of the heat transfer tubes. The flow-splitting parts include one or more first flow-splitting parts each communicating with a first heat transfer tube, which is a higher positioned heat transfer tube. The flow-splitting parts include one or more second heat transfer tubes each communicating with a second heat transfer tube positioned below the first heat transfer tube. The refrigerant inlet of the first flow-splitting part communicates with the first passage at a location below the refrigerant inlet of the second flow-splitting part.

Helically coiled heat exchange array
A heat exchange array arranged to be used in a heat exchange unit and further arranged to recover energy from an exhaust gas, comprising: a first heat exchange tube and a second heat exchange tube, each arranged to carry a heat exchange medium and further each comprising a series of external fins; and wherein the first heat exchange tube comprises a left-handed helically coiled tube having an first elastic stress, and the second heat exchange coil comprises a right-handed helically coiled tube having a second elastic stress, and wherein the first and second heat exchange tubes are interconnected such that the first elastic stress opposes the second elastic stress.

Hermetically sealed cap for heat exchanger modulator
A receiver drier assembly for an automotive heat exchanger is provided with a single-piece cap. In embodiments described herein, a modulator has a tubular wall and one or more openings are formed therein. The cap is a single-piece cap and is configured to attach directly to the tubular wall via a snap fit. The cap may have a protrusion that is configured to snap into engagement with the opening in the modulator when properly assembled. The protrusion may be tapered such that as the cap is assembled to the modulator, the protrusion is forced radially inwardly via the tapered surface sliding along the tubular wall. Once the protrusion meets the opening, the protrusion is allowed to flex radially outward toward its natural unbiased position, snap fitting with the opening of the tubular wall.
