A heat transfer tube is made of aluminum and includes a streak-shaped Zn diffusion layer (6, 106) which is spirally formed on a circular outer peripheral surface in a length direction. According to this heat transfer tube, even in a case where rainwater or dew concentration water is intensively accumulated in a portion of the outer peripheral surface in a circumferential direction, it is possible to obtain a sufficient corrosion resistance.
INTERNAL HYDROFORMING METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HEAT PIPE WICKS
A forming assembly configured to form a wick is disclosed. The forming assembly includes an expandable tube and a forming shell assembly. The expandable tube is hydraulically expandable to an expanded configuration. A wick mesh is configured to be wrapped about the expandable tube. The forming shell assembly includes a first forming shell comprising a first recess defined therein and a second forming shell comprising a second recess defined therein. The first recess and the second recess cooperate to define an outer diameter of the wick. The expandable tube and the wick mesh are positionable between the first recess and the second recess. The expandable tube and the forming shell assembly are configured to deform the wick mesh and form the wick based on the expandable tube hydraulically expanding towards the expanded configuration.
METHOD FOR PREPARING EVAPORATOR FOR REDUCING WATER CONDENSING CAPACITY AND EVAPORATOR
The present invention discloses a method for preparing an evaporator for reducing water condensing capacity and an evaporator. The preparation method comprises steps of: step A: selecting fins; step B: stacking; step C: arranging tubes; and, step D: expanding tubes. In accordance with the present invention, the existing fins and devices can be used to produce an evaporator in which the distance between two adjacent fins satisfies the requirements of the freezing operation, ensuring the normal operation of an air conditioner when the refrigeration temperature is below 0° C.
System and Method for Manufacturing and Operating a Coaxial Tube Heat Exchanger
A coaxial heat exchanger is provided. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a coaxial heat exchanger for use in water source heat pumps or other applications involving fluid to fluid heat transfer. Embodiments of the present disclosure allow for the use of pre-existing engineered tubing with a textured or riffled interior surface and a folded fin intermediate member. Some methods of the present disclosure involve annealing and hydrostatically expanding the engineered tubing to increase contact and thermal transfer between the inner tube and the intermediate member. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
Fin heat exchanger comprising improved louvres
The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising: at least one row of tubes (2), at least one fin (4) disposed transversely to said row of tubes (2), the tubes being connected to the fin (4) by clamping the tubes (2) in a collar (6) formed in the fin (4); and at least one row (10) of louvers (12), said row (10) being formed in the fin (4) and interposed between two tubes (2) in the row of tubes. With the fin (4) having a flat rectangular overall shape, the ratio between the number of louvers (12) and the width of the fin (4) is between 0.73 and 1.13.
Stacking-type header and method of manufacturing stacking-type header
A stacking-type header includes a first plate having a first through-hole; a second plate having a plurality of second through-holes; a third plate in which a flow path that communicates between the first through-hole and the second through-holes is formed, a first pipe including a first end portion that is inserted into the first through-hole; a plurality of second pipes each including a second end portion that is inserted into a corresponding one of the second through-holes; and brazing portions. The first pipe includes a first expanded portion in the first end portion, the first expanded portion having an outer peripheral surface that is pressed against an inner peripheral surface of the first through-hole. Each of the second pipes includes a second expanded portion having an outer peripheral surface that is pressed against an inner peripheral surface of a corresponding one of the second through-holes.
AIR COOLED CONDENSER AND RELATED METHODS
A vertical bundle air-cooled heat exchanger, a finned tube assembly for an air cooled condenser and method for forming the same, and a system for removing thermal energy generated by radioactive materials. In one aspect, an air cooled condenser sized for industrial and commercial application includes an inlet steam distribution header for conveying steam, a condensate outlet header for conveying condensate, an array of tube bundles each having a plurality of finned tube assemblies having a bare steel tube with an exposed outer surface and a set of aluminum fins brazed directly onto the tube by a brazing filler metal. The steel tubes may be spaced apart by the aluminum fins and have an inlet end fluidly coupled to the inlet steam distribution header and an outlet end fluidly coupled to the outlet header. A forced draft fan may be arranged to blow air through the tube bundles.
HEADER TANK AND CORRESPONDING HEAT EXCHANGER
The invention relates to a header tank (5) for a mechanically assembled heat exchanger, notably for a motor vehicle, said exchanger (1) comprising a mechanically assembled heat-exchange core bundle (3) and comprising at least one row of tubes (31) with two end tubes (31) one at each end of said at least one row, the tubes (31) respectively comprising an end (311) intended to open into an interior volume of the header tank (5). According to the invention, the header tank (5) comprises at least one end stop (55) configured to be positioned facing an internal surface of the end (311) of an associated end tube (31) and to collaborate with said internal surface in such a way as to prevent said tube (31) from moving in the direction of the interior volume of the header tank (5).
Heat exchanger tube-to-header sealing system
A tube-to-header sealing system for a heat exchanger comprises a pair of mating header plates, each header plate having a wall with a plurality of openings therein and including a continuous depression along the circumference of each header plate opening which forms one-half of an O-ring groove. Each of a plurality of O-rings is positioned in each O-ring groove and the header plates are secured together such that the header plate plurality of openings are aligned and trap each of the plurality of O-rings in O-ring grooves. A plurality of spaced-apart tubes each having a tube end secured in an opening in the wall of the header to form a tube-to-header joint are expanded outwardly to provide sufficient O-ring deformation to obtain a seal. In service, the resiliency of the O-ring seal allows for expansion and contraction of the tubes without the build-up of high stresses at the tube-to-header joint.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEAT SINK
A high-efficiency heat sink includes a base and a plurality of heat sink fins A folded portion of each heat sink fin is formed by folding after being pressed and thinned, so that the thickness of the folded portion is less than the thickness of an insertion end of each heat sink fin. The thickness of the portion where the heat sink fin is inserted into a groove of the base is less than twice the thickness of the heat sink fin. It is beneficial to reduce the distance between two adjacent heat sink fins on the base, so that the heat sink fins can be arranged more densely, thereby improving the heat dissipation effect of the entire heat sink effectively.
