The present disclosure relates to a soot blower including: a lance tube which includes one end that reciprocally moves in one direction on a surface of an inlet port of a flow path of the tubular heat exchanger; a drive unit which is connected to the lance tube and reciprocally moves and rotates the lance tube in the one direction; a first nozzle which is connected to the one end of the lance tube and discharges steam to the inlet port; and a second nozzle which is disposed adjacent to the first nozzle and connected to the one end of the lance tube and discharges solid particles to the inlet port, and the present disclosure relates to a method of cleaning a tubular heat exchanger by using the soot blower.

System and method for cleaning a tube bundle of a heat exchanger core

A system capable of autonomous operation is disclosed for cleaning a tube bundle of a heat exchanger core. The system comprises a lance for directing a jet of fluid into spaces between the tubes of the bundle, a carriage for advancing the lance into the bundle, a mount movable relative to the carriage for holding the lance, and a sensor for detecting relative movement between the lance and the carriage, so as to detect when a reaction force acting on the lance upon encountering an obstruction in the tube bundle exceeds a predetermined limit.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEANING TUBE BUNDLES

A method and to a cleaning device for cleaning tubes of tube bundles, wherein at least one rotating cleaning lance is used. During the insertion of the cleaning lance, the insertion depth E of the cleaning lance is measured and is stored and documented in a storage and documentation device. The cleaning device has an XY displacement device, on which a support rail is arranged, which supports a cleaning apparatus.

System and methods for detecting, monitoring, and removing deposits on boiler heat exchanger surfaces using vibrational analysis

A boiler system includes a boiler having at least one heat exchanger having a surface on which a deposit may form. The boiler system further includes at least one retractable sootblower having a lance tube for carrying a high pressure fluid into the boiler. The lance tube is configured such that the high pressure fluid impacts the heat exchanger surface to effect a vibration thereof. The boiler system also includes at least one vibration measuring device coupled to the boiler system. The vibration measuring device is configured to measure the vibration of the heat exchanger surface, and the measured vibration indicates presence or absence of the deposit on the heat exchanger surface. The vibration measuring device may optionally detect a vibration caused by the release of the deposit from the surface of the heat exchanger or the impact of the released deposit with a surface in the boiler system.

Method and device for cleaning tube bundles

A method for cleaning tube bundles with open end faces, in particular tube bundles of heat exchangers, air coolers, or condensers. A cleaning device which has at least one cleaning unit is positioned adjacently to the open ends of the tube bundle, and the at least one cleaning unit which has a high-pressure hose is then arranged in a successive manner by a controller so as to be flush with the respective tube of the tube bundle. The cleaning unit is inserted into the respective tube and supplied with a liquid under high-pressure. The aim of the invention is to improve such a method and device such that a reliable cleaning process is carried out without operating errors. This is achieved in that the insert depth is measured when inserting the at least one cleaning unit into the respective tube and monitored by the controller.
