An upper receiver is disclosed. The firearm contains a bolt carrier assembly positioned within the upper receiver, a recoil spring guide rod, wherein the bolt carrier assembly is configured to slide along the recoil spring guide rod between a locked position and an unlocked position, and a first recoil spring, wherein the recoil spring guide rod is positioned within the first recoil spring.

Propellant-based projectile weapons comprising recoil inversion assemblies
10082351 · 2018-09-25 ·

The present invention is directed to novel recoil inversion assemblies, which reduce recoil generated by blowback of the propellant gases, as well as their use in propellant-based projectile weapons. Such novel weapons afford reduced recoil, muzzle flip, and muzzle climb, and therefore exhibit improved manageability as compared with current related weapons, particularly when utilizing high powered ammunition. In particular, the recoil inversion assemblies of the present invention further comprise novel delayed-blowback assemblies affording utility with larger caliber ammunition.

In some implementations, the device may include an elastic skin configured to be coupled over a front fixed portion of a frame of a firearm and a rear portion of a slide of a firearm. The elastic skin has a first low level of tension when the slide is in the first rest position and a second higher level of tension when the slide is in the second chamber position.

A firearm support system (FSS) includes a buffer tube mount (BTM) having a first complementary component and a receiver comprising a second complementary component configured to selectively receive the first complementary component. The BTM comprises a shelf that extends from a ring of the BTM.

Reduced length belt-fed firearm

A short-length, belt fed machine gun for convenient use includes: (A) a receiver having a length in the range of about 17.75 inches to about 20.3 inches, (B) a barrel assembly, and (C) a gas cycling assembly. A gas port of the barrel assembly has a width of between about 0.063 inches and 0.200 inches. The distance between a center of the gas port and the breach of the barrel is between about 7.605 inches and about 9.395 inches. The gas cycling assembly features a unique polymer kinetic energy dampener assembly located longitudinally rearward of the operating rod, which is useful in achieving a desired cycle rate of the gun (e.g., about 600 rounds per minute (RPM)) and in minimizing muzzle climb. A unique mounting bushing selectively, removably mounts to the gas cylinder in order to achieve a shortened gun with many of the advantages of conventional longer weapons.
