UNIVERSAL TRIGGER LOCKING SYSTEM
20230080103 · 2023-03-16 ·

Systems for universally locking a trigger of a firearm are provided that require authentication to transition the firearm to an unlocked state. In general, examples of the systems for universally locking a trigger of a firearm described herein are located in an interchangeable grip portion of the firearm or mounted to an accessory rail of the firearm. Embodiments of the system generally include trigger interference or blocking members to prevent actuation of the trigger until the authentication system has authorized the user to fire the firearm. Once the system is authenticated, embodiments of the system remain in an unlocked state while the user is grasping the firearm. When the user removes their hand from the firearm, embodiments of the trigger locking system automatically returns to a locked state, reducing or eliminating unauthorized use of the firearm.

TAMPER-ACTUATED FLUID RELEASE FIREARM INTERLOCK
20230146839 · 2023-05-11 · ·

Apparatus and associated methods relate to a firearm lock configured to release a self-hardening interlock fluid into a firing chamber of a firearm in response to a predetermined force. In an illustrative example, the firearm lock may include an engagement module configured to releasably couple to a firing chamber of the firearm. In a locked mode, for example, the engagement module may prevent the firearm from firing. The firearm lock may include, for example, a tamper interlock module containing interlock material (IM) in a fluid state. When a predetermined force is applied to the tamper interlock module, for example, the IM may be dispensed from the cavity into the firing chamber and the IM may at least partially transition into a solid state such that the IM prevents the firearm from firing. Various embodiments may advantageously disable a locked firearm in response to tampering with the lock.

Firearm covers

Firearm covers are disclosed. A firearm cover includes a body defining a partially enclosed region sized and shaped to receive a firearm receiver of a firearm. The body includes a first side wall having a first lip and a second side wall opposite the first side wall and having a second lip. The first lip and the second lip define a longitudinal opening to the partially enclosed region. The first side wall and the second side wall define a forward opening to the partially enclosed region and a rear opening to the partially enclosed region such that, when the firearm receiver is operatively received in the partially enclosed region, the firearm extends through the forward opening and the rear opening. The firearm cover further includes structure for restricting the firearm from being fired when the firearm receiver is operatively received in the partially enclosed region.

FIREARM LOCK SHROUD
20170332783 · 2017-11-23 ·

A firearm lock shroud for a firearm lock comprises first and second side members. The first side member is positioned adjacent the firearm lock. The second side member is positioned adjacent the firearm lock and spaced apart from the first side member. The first and second side members define a firearm receiving space therebetween for receiving a firearm. The first and second side members extend over an area to cover at least a trigger area of a firearm received in the firearm receiving space and locked by the firearm lock to prevent unauthorized access to the trigger area. The side members can optionally extend to cover a magazine area and/or a take-down pin area of the firearm.
