Pistol, ejector and takedown lever
A semiautomatic pistol has a takedown lever which also acts as an ejector. The takedown lever includes an ejector head and a finger. The finger is engageable with a sear when the takedown lever is rotated by depressing the ejector head through the ejection port when the slide is out of battery. This rotates the sear so that the slide may be removed by sliding it toward the muzzle end of the pistol.
Trigger assembly
A trigger assembly apparatus includes spherical portion(s) and spherical bearing(s), rounded sear, stabilizing catch, and complimentary shield. In an exemplary embodiment, the spherical portion(s) and spherical bearing(s) respond to non-linear movement. Further, the interaction of the spherical portion(s) and spherical bearing(s) results in the mobility of the trigger in relation to the 6 degrees of freedom thereby resulting in the firearm being generally unaffected by side to side movement of the trigger during activation. The trigger assembly may also include but is not limited to a rounded sear, stabilizing catch, and complimentary shield. The rounded portion of the sear engages the hammer stop notch at a single point further resulting in the firearm being generally unaffected by side to side movement of the trigger. Additionally the stabilizing catch and shield helps facilitate the proper reset of the trigger assembly.

Fire control/trigger mechanism
A trigger mechanism or fire control for trigger operable devices includes a housing; a sear having a sear body coupled to the housing and including a primary engagement surface and an active sear support reset geometry; and a sear support coupled to the housing and having a body with a sear engagement surface and a passive sear support reset geometry. The primary engagement surface of the sear is moved into an overlapping condition with the sear engagement surface of the sear support as the sear is moved from a discharged position to a reset position after actuation of the trigger operable device. In addition, interaction between the active sear support reset geometry and the passive sear support reset geometry causes a mechanical displacement of the sear support to a reset position.

Auto-loading firearm with selectable live fire and training modes
An auto-loading firearm having a system for switches between live fire and training modes via a selector switch mounted either on the firearm frame or on a specially designed training attachment. A multi-part transfer bar, between the trigger and sear, can be selectively connected in a live fire mode and spaced apart in a training mode. A selectively engageable trigger resetting mechanism automatically returns the trigger to its set position after firing the firearm is in training mode.

SINGLE-STAGE AND TWO-STAGE TRIGGER MECHANISM FOR A FIREARM
A trigger mechanism has a top sear for engaging a cocking piece, a transfer arm for engaging the top sear, and a safety lever and second stage sear which engages the transfer arm. The safety lever prevents unintentional firing of a firearm with the trigger mechanism. A bottom sear cooperates with the safety lever and the second stage sear. A single stage operation involves both a first stage spring and second stage spring upon trigger load application. In a two-stage operation, the first stage spring is engaged and then the second stage spring is also engaged. A selector pin provides flexibility to alter the mode of operation of the trigger mechanism between single stage trigger operation and a double stage trigger operation.

TRIGGER GROUP FOR STRIKER-FIRED FIREARMS
Trigger groups for striker-fired firearms have a firing pin assembly connected to a slide and operable to reciprocate between a rearward retracted position and a forward extended position, the firing pin assembly including a retention surface, a trigger assembly including a sear surface configured to selectively engage the retention surface to releasably restrain the firing pin assembly, the firing pin assembly being responsive to the trigger assembly to release from the retracted position to the extended position in response to movement of the trigger assembly from the forward trigger position to the rearward trigger position and to release from the retracted position to the extended position in response to movement of the trigger assembly from the rearward trigger position to the forward trigger position, the trigger assembly including a retainer movable between a clear position and a blocking position.
